Psychology 101... Pulev know what he's up against and that he doesn't stand a chance in hell. He looks good making this statement and knows that he'll likely never have to hold up to his end of the hypothetical bargain - BUT in the unlikely event that he DOES win... He'll clear so much money in a rematch that donating half of his purse from this fight wouldn't be that big of a setback.
Upcoming fights in the heavyweight division: Oscar Rivas/Carl Davis Drumond for the vacant NABF Heavyweight Title on 28 September. Nick Webb/TBA on 29 September. Former amateur standout from Poland, heavyweight Michal Olas will return against Michal Banbula back on 30 September as well. This fight will be televised by Polsat Sports HD. Cassius Chaney/Jon Bolden on 5 October. Yakup Saglam back on 7 October. Tyrone Spong/Sergio Ramirez on 8 October. Oleksandr Teslenko/Daniel Martz over 8 rounds on 14 October. Timur Stark/Andre Bunga on the same date. In other fights on 14 October, Tony Yoka will face dangerous Jonathan Rice, Alex Leapai will face Thomas Peato and Pianeta will face Kevin Johnson for the International Boxing Organization International Heavyweight Title. Dillon Carman/Mladen Miljas on 25 November. Decent scrap.
Both Rivas and Drumond in tremendous shape ahead of their fight! Drummond is ripped to the shreds for this fight, Rivas as well but not as much as Drummond is. Rivas's eyes look good ahead of this fight. Rivas weighed in at 234,2 pounds and Drummond weighed in at 229,2 pounds, great to see fighters who actually train for their fights. Drummond is just a little bit taller than Rivas is, so expect a fight at the close distance. This fight might be a slugfest but this will go down to who has a better chin.
Mateusz Masternak will face once-beaten Stivens Bujaj on Gassiev/Wlodarczyk undercard, on 21 of October. Efetobor Apochi back on the same card. He will have his third fight in the pro ranks.
I'm going for the upset. I don't think Mastermak has a power to keep Bujaj of him. Bujaj looked good at times in Bejenaru fight and has legit power, so I pick Bujaj by MD or KO/TKO.
Ehhhh... Bujaj is trash, unless Masternak has really slipped I don't see how he loses. Bujaj never looked good against Bejenaru, rather the Moldovans at times wild and risky style gave the Albanian a chance he shouldn't have had. Also - Bujaj is not beating anyone of value down the stretch on the cards, his only chance is a stoppage.
I'll be watching the Oscar Rivas/Carl Drumond fight at the Casino de Montreal. Just got my ticket, hopefully should be good.
