Next year, the Russian expects to fight for the world title.

- I came not so long ago, on business. After the injury, I had two operations, I took a break. But with boxing, I'm not saying goodbye yet, I am sure that I can become the World Champion. So while I do not say goodbye to boxing. Nurgazy Jarylgapov invited me here, to Karaganda, to a tournament to commemorate his father. Alikhan Zharylgapov, son of Nurgazy Galymovich, is my friend. I myself participated in this tournament more than once, all the stars of Kazakhstan boxing - champions and prize-winners of the Olympic Games and Peace - boxed here. Thanks Nurgazy Galymovich - he made a huge contribution to the development of boxing in Kazakhstan, and I'm very pleased. Now the level of boxing in our country has grown very much, the guys are showing good results. There are all the conditions, boxers go to the fees abroad, big tournaments are held in Kazakhstan. Young athletes need to continue to develop.

- Did you compete as an an amateur at this tournament? - Then I did not take seriously to amateur boxing. It was, rather, a hobby. As soon as he joined the pro, he devoted all his life to this sport. The whole team works with you - coach, a whole staff of trainers, masseurs, cooks, nutritionists. And you're serious about fighting. - Tell us about the transferred operations.

How did they go? - I was supposed to go to fight in April, then during the training I spent 400 rounds of sparring. And that sparring was to be the last, after it - recovery procedures. But the ill-fated trauma of the eye happened, the next day I was given an emergency operation, because everything was serious. A month later, another one was held. The trauma affected the second eye, so the second operation was carried out on both. - Do not keep evil on a sparring partner? - No, it was purely accidental. Even if you deliberately try to do this - it will not work. The doctor is very good, one of the best in America, and thanks to him, I feel good. This specialist forbids me to continue, but I want to go to America, meet with him. I think I can pass all the tests and continue my career. I have experience and no difficulties to become a world champion again. The last title I won in the first heavy category, but I can become a champion and heavyweight champion.

- Do you want to rise in weight? - Yes, I want to beat all good boxers, champions, and in parallel to get out in the heavyweight - like Klitschko, Povetkin. - Well, and with the one with whom the fight did not take place, I would like to meet? - Of course. I do not have someone specific to whom I would be set up. Ready to go out with any champion of the World. - How is your vision now? You see? - Now I see it well. And so I think that I will pass all the tests, and I will be allowed to speak.

"Do you know when this will be possible?" - If I decide to resume training, I will have 2-3 months to prepare for the fight.

When do you fly to America for negotiations?

- Either before the New Year, or after - in order to talk with a doctor. In addition, I made the mistake of signing a contract with one manager. We have now decided to terminate it and are negotiating for partnership with other promotional companies. Will talk. - And how does your coach relate to the decision to return?

- The coach is waiting for me. When I start training, he is ready to work with me further. - But you were categorically forbidden to continue doctors?

- You know, I injured my left eye in 2008 and fought, seeing only the right. I won the world title in this state. In 2010, my doctor performed an operation and said that with such a condition my career would not last long. But, you see, I continued to perform and in March 2016 I successfully defended my title. The doctor was surprised, because he did not believe that I could perform so much. I believe that medicine has not yet fully studied human physiology. I had an incident in 2012: because of the weight loss, I nearly died and the month was in the hospital. The doctors' council worked, and they saved my life. Then I was told that it was necessary to "tie" with boxing, but I decided to continue my career - and became the World Champion. Therefore, I do not listen to what the doctors say.

- But after damage to the eye, you still decided to leave. What state was it then? - At that time, there was more emotional stress. It was to this battle that I prepared for 10 months. I had to go to fight against Lebedev in September 2016, but this opponent for various reasons avoided meeting me. I know that he is a "home" boxer and does not want to speak anywhere else, except Russia. I was ready to go and enter the ring with him there. There were problems with the negotiations. And from September to April I was in combat form. It was the time when my body would fail. In general, it's impossible to be in combat form for so long. Maximum - two weeks, and this lasted 8 months. 400 rounds of sparring - this is enough for four fights, and I spent so much before the single.

- Now many young Kazakhstani boxers are making their way in professional boxing. What perspectives do our guys have there? - I am very pleased to see progress and what conditions are there. In our time this was not. Professional people also began to understand boxing. I tried to conduct tournaments in Kazakhstan, but then no one understood this level. Now people understand everything, children grow good, - the main thing is that they take care of their health, work with good specialists. Kazakhstani boxers will be able to conquer all the peaks in professional boxing too.
