Right now Demerizen is clearly better than Rivas. He showing good hand speed and goo guard as usual. As for Rivas, his stamina is becoming growing problem for his chances to contend for world championship belt.
I saw Teslenko's fight vs. Hickman in February 2018. He is skilled, quick and can land with power. His trainer said he'd like to see him around 230 pounds, not 220 pounds. I mostly agree as long as the extra weight doesn't take away from his hand speed. The one negative on his game is his reach was listed at 76". That's about the minimum these days for an out fighter, same a Joseph Parker's though Teslenko can throw upper cuts and body shots well. 6'4" used to be tall. not its slightly above average. I still view Teslenko as a top 5-20 type of talent on upside, but he's going to need a sturdy chin and some heart to defeat the best big men like Joshua who will have a 6" reach advantage if they ever meet.
Former world champion in two weight categories, Kazakhstan's Beibut Shumenov will return to the ring in a fight with German boxer Hizni Altunka on July 7. At stake in the duel will be the vacant title of "regular" WBA world champion in the first heavyweight division. Also within the boxing evening, several other domestic boxers will enter the ring. To this battle, Shumenov is prepared by the famous Cuban specialist Ismael Salas, with whom the Kazakh fighter has already cooperated earlier. Before announcing his retirement from the boxing last year, Beibut was preparing for a fight with Cuban Junier Dorticos under the direction of New Zealand coach Kevin Michael Joseph Barry.
Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin have almost agreed to terms to fight one another this September, according to a report on the World Boxing News. Matchroom Boxing head and Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn held a meeting with Povetkin’s representatives last week and revealed that negotiations went smoothly. The Russian’s manager Vadim Kornilov admitted that he hopes the two can meet in the ring in September, but the only thing stalling the deal at the moment is Joshua’s negotiations with American Deontay Wilder. Wilder is Joshua’s first choice opponent, but if talks with him break down then he must face his mandatory challenger Povetkin. Kornilov said: The meeting with Eddie Hearn went great. We are still ongoing in our negotiations for Alexander Povetkin to fight Anthony Joshua in September. The site and country is to be finalized soon but I am hoping we can get an understanding by the end of the month. Team Povetkin wants to fight for the world title and we are confident it will happen. Joshua wants to fight Wilder in the UK whilst the WBC champion wants the fight to take place in the USA. This could be Povetkin’s chance to prove what he is capable of against the current king of the heavyweight division. https://readboxing.com/2018/05/21/joshua-povetkin-deal-to-be-finalised-soon/
