Thabiso Mchunu vs. Kevin Larena next hopefully. If Mchunu boxes like he did yesterday then he'll probably beat Larena.

He will. Lerena is so damn overrated. Padded record, featherfisted for a big guy, no home advantage if they fight in SA.

That and he's been gotten some disgusting decisions. The only half decent guy he's beaten clearly was a disinterested Kucher coming off a long layoff.

A few prospect notes from the USA

    1. Paul Koon (prospect from a couple years ago) returned to action with a wide UD win over a nobody.
    2. Pano Tiatia finallly got his 3rd fight (finally). He won via stoppage. Not noteworthy - except that he has indicated he intends to drop down to Crusierweight where I expect his height (5' 10") will be less of an issue.
    3. Michael Polite-Coffie stopped Tyrell Jamal Woods a couple weeks ago. Woods ain't great but he's a live body with good experience who isn't easy to stop. So not bad for only his 5th fight and pretty good considering Polite-Coffie has only been boxing for about 3 years.

He had enough power to keep both Klitschko and Wilder honest.

On February 23, Andrzej Fonfara (30-5, 18 KO) with Edwin Rodriguez (30-2, 20 KO) will fight during the gala organized in the United States. The official confirmation of the date of the duel is to take place soon.

The fight was initially planned for December, then for the second half of January, but eventually its deadline was postponed. For Fonfara, who in the past has twice tried to win the championship light heavyweight belt, it will be the second appearance in the limit of the junior heavyweight category.

In June, the Pole won against Ismałą Mocecz before the time. The 33-year-old Rodriguez fought his last duel in February, beating Lionell Thompson points.

In March at the gala organized in the United States, where the official contender for the title of world champion IBF heavyweight Kubrat Pulev (26-1, 13 KO) will return to the ring. Bulgarian on Friday signed a supervisor contract with the Top Rank group.

    - Pulew is one of the best heavyweights in the world. We will try to get the best possible rival in March - said Bob Arum, the new promoter of the boxer.

The 37-year-old last boxed in October, winning points with Hughie Fury. For Bułgar it was a return to the ring after a year and a half break.

Pułev will fight for the heavyweight IBF belt in the second half of next year. The title of International Boxing Federation is currently held by Anthony Joshua.

Mike Coppinger from the magazine The Ring said that, according to his knowledge, the continuation of the second season of the World Boxing Super Series is in danger for financial reasons.

The journalist of the "Boxing Bible" reports that some boxers have not received bonus wages for victory in quarterfinal battles. So far, WBSS organizers and representatives of the DAZN platform, showing a prestigious competition in the US, do not comment on the matter.

As part of the second edition of WBSS, all quarter-finals of the tournaments were played in scales, super light and junior heavy. The semi-finals, including the fight between Krzysztof Głowacki (31-1, 19 KO) and Mairis Briedis (25-1, 18 KO), should take place at the turn of February and March, however no specific dates or locations have been given.
