I wonder when we will hear who Parker will be fighting in about a month.

I don’t think Parker’s team fancied that work from Usyk.

They probably didn't see any sense in fighting him unless the WBO was on the line.

Once Parker and Gassiev get their journeymen out the way Hearn should look to make Gassiev vs Parker.

Looks like Murat Gassiev will face Jerry Forrest in a 10 rounder on the same card that Joseph Parker will face Shawndell Terrell Winers on February 29.

I like this fight for Gassiev. Forrest was robbed pretty badly for me against prospect Franklin, so for your first fight back AND at a new weight I think this is solid.
Parker's...he should be aiming a little higher. It's not total trash though. He is just pretty fresh from upsetting Teslenko, though I was never overly high on him myself.

Just a quibble, here. I wouldn't call a guy with 45 fights and ten losses a "prospect."

Guy is thoroughly in the journeyman category.

LOL, that's his (known) amateur record. Hrgovic's one is 20-6 (7 KOs), Dubois' one is 2-3 (1 KOs), Ajagba's one is 12-2 (2 KOs) etc.

Yeah fair enough, I was more implying that he is a prospect in the pro ranks.

Muller is a step up, but Sirenko still smashes him.

Good to see him taking a step up of sorts. Hopefully a big year ahead for him where we can get a better idea on how good he really is.
