KEssler has a very solid name. Taylor is definately worth mentioning (not for you, but for most people). Bute is green but still good. Being green means he will get even better. Cunningham is the one who doesn't have a very solid name. Adamek and Mormeck are near the end of their careers. And nobody else you mentioned is worth mentioning.
Kessler has been on HBO one time and did record-bad numbers for the Calzaghe fight. JC did better against Peter Manfredo. Since then Mikkel has done absolutely nothing. With his injury problems he is nearing the end soon as well. Taylor is a big name, but will never be the same after back to back fights with Kelly Pav. Lacy is shot. Bute will improve but as of now has no name. Cunningham is #1 for a reason. Adamek has been on HBO/SHOW several times and is still in his prime, weight problems behind him. Guys like Flores/Kraj/Alexeev have just as much upside as Bute, if not more.
to each his . I could argue with you all night but it would lead nowhere. I think most people would agree that SMW is a better division than Cruserweight right now. you don't need to go back 5 years just recently there has been Kessler vs Calzaghe, Abraham vs Miranda, and Pavlik vs Taylor 2, all at SMW and all big fights in just the last couple of months.
Banks is irrelevant. he looked like **** in his last fight and he's yet another steward hype job about to get KTFO.
Ok, so for the last 5 years you submit Calzaghe-Kessler, Pavlik-Taylor 2 (which was at 164), and Abraham-Miranda(lol)? Two of the three were between natural middlweights, where one fighter couldn't make the weight anymore. Meanwhile at 200lbs there has been: Bell vs Mormeck 1 Bell vs Mormeck 2 Haye vs Mormeck Adamek vs Bell Toney vs Jirov Mormeck vs Braithwaite Haye vs Macca To name a few. No doubt CW has had far bigger and better fights.
actually i said for just the past few months. the furthest of the fights i mentioned dates back to November 2007. The other 2 were both in 2008. Toney vs Jirov was all the way back in APRIL 2003! What does Toney vs Jirov have to do with a topic called Current divisions that are hot... stop trying to sucker me into arguing something that is so obvious.
Actually, I was responding to Executioner and you butted in. I asked him which division has had better fights over the last few years and clearly it's been 200 lbs. Conversley, what do Kessler-JC and Abraham-Miranda have to do with the current 168 division? Abraham is gone to 160 for good, and JC is up to 175.
if CW is what gets you going thats good for you. IMO 168 is currently way better than cruserweight and IMO the arguments that you've put forward are weak. Thats just my opinion. Maybe you've convinced someone else.
