Heavyweight is the most important division in boxing. It always has been. Very few people who watch boxing are diehards as we are. Most of them are ignorant to the sport and just wanna see someone get beat up. Heavyweights carry the sport. Now, of course, a fanatic like yourself or I could probley think of many other divisions we would prefer to watch other than heavyweights. I personally don't even like heavyweights. BUT, in the big scheme of things, heavyweights are boxing's drawing power.

Did you saw that fight? Adamek won in my eyes, but in eyes of many Cunningham should get the nod. Rematch is logical and reasonable. Beating TWICE sucha player as Cunningham is something really great!
I prefer Adamek-Hopkins fight rather any other, but if Tomasz decides to go other way (or HBO decides so) I would be happy to see him in the ring again.

hw isn't the most important though..the most glamorous, yes!! Mos def not the most important...

I know alotta people dont pay attention to boxing and all that but the biggest hw fight (ppv #) was holyfield-lewis at 1.9 million buys...mayweather oscar did 2.4 million buys...

Todays "casual fan" may not know much about the lighter divisions but i wouldnt go as far as saying the hw division is "more important."

Surely Hasegawa warrants a place on the list? Maybe between 7-10.
