I like Chad Dawson, but deffo over-hyped.

B-Hop following the Pavlik win; YES, it was a great achievement, but Bernard is not the second coming of Christ.

    margarito...

he beats ONE recognized fighter and all of a sudden hes on the p4p list :huh and i understand beating cotto is like beating 5 up and comers...but cmon...styles make fights and margo had cotto's number...i still think many other fighters can outbox margarito and make him seem totally amateur

he has two qualities...a freakish chin and excellent stamina/work rate

totally OVERRATED! i think he has much to prove before being on the p4p list.

totally agree! i think his only REAL accomplishment he deserves to be recognized for is beating Tarver...

his record consists of fighters blown up welterweights...

the second he fights someone his own weight...he gets handled

Margarito is a decent nominee. Who are these fighters that could outbox Margarito, BTW? Paul Williams used every trick in the book and barely outpointed him. It's not say easy it seems..

i think everyone understands that Berto has been untested and has much to prove...i dont think hes OVERRATED...hes getting the credit he deserves...no one's giving him SERIOUS hype

theyre giving him enough hype and enough credit...

Thinking to go to another division just to duck you'r mandatory who would be the first live one on his resume is pretty overrated....I think Collazo has what it takes to beat him and Berto knows it and is shakin in his boots how to deal with it(by not fighting him)

Went for Dawson, was between him and Williams for me with all the talk of him fighting Pavlik and going up to LH.

PW is one of em...i also think Berto might possibly give him a run for his money...beat him? maybe not...maybe so...too early to say on Berto's behalf

and i think you're right in the sense on who can outbox him...he hasn't fought too many boxers and usually goes for the brawling type...

so i think his matchup with Mosley should be a good bout to test his mettle with a boxer style...

im not trying to say hes NOT a good figher...i just think people are giving TOOOO much credit for having brutalized Cotto...and yet dont understand that Cotto had to fight 5 rounds with a bloody nose that affected his breathing AND a messed up eye (possibly/arguably from a headbutt) there were a lot of other factors involved that would probably become its own thread...if it wasnt for Margo's chin, cotto would've had any other guy on the floor already and Cotto's pride to try and be the first to knock him out, he mightve possibly realized he should jut coast and just box him out

i was unaware of his plans to move to another division...but again your basing this opinion on the idea that people are giving him SERIOUS hype and saying hes the best and quite literally OVERRATING him...

i dont see people praising Berto for his ability to dominate anything...i think people see he has talent and a lot of room for growth...hes not even on a top 10 p4p list...i dont even think hes on a top 15 list either

Calzaghe. Resume is way too weak to be anywhere near top 10 on the p4p list never mind third.

People mentioning him in the mix at 147 with the really big boys(Williams,Margarito or Cotto,Clottey) is out of the discussion.I can live with the really BS call the he woul KO Collazo(which he definetely would not) but to say he would beat Cotto...that is the definition of overrated.Cotto would kill this guy and these jokers here say he would possibly stop him
