Talk about having splinters in your bum who do you think will win? 50/50

On another note would love to know how matey they were back in the day or if there always was a rivalry and tension both being top prospects at the same gym

I like to know that as well. I get impression they were sort that would nod when they see each other but not a real friendship like mates or anything.

Chunky liked a gym war i heard and seeing as him and Groves are both punchy i can imagine there sparring was heated! lot more then the actual bout was.

I watched it when it was first posted a month ago mate and just because the two fence sitting trainers on camera said that doesn't mean they were...

Very Good Friends......**** me they chill on road together and link chicks as well?!. Bollocks...they were sort of friends where they have a bit of general chit chat and got on when on tour but other then that DeGale and Groves weren't what i call proper pals!.

Listen Rob..re-read the post and i never said he didn't. He clearly taken shots to speak the way he speaks. Your obviously a huge fan of Groves by way you seem to be seem to positive towards DeGale from your posts.

The trainer told a fella i know that Chunky likes a war in sparring. I can tell he does because when he has man hurt he smiles and likes to go for kill..not to say Groves doesn't...but isn't as good nor will he beat DeGale IMO.

I dont think we are talking Haye Audley levels of friendship here:hey

If they were proper mates surely a few pics of them together would have emerged? Even in their amateur days you dont see pics of them holding medals or trophies together for newspaper photos or anything. The only pictures they both feature in is the one where they are fighting

the Anderson & Smith fights answered questions about both fighters but also left question marks as well; in the grand scheme of things

agree. people need to remember Groves is not Smith. Also think Anderson is far better than Smith.
