What I would agree with is that if Ricky Hatton fights the same sort of fight Jesus "El Matador" Chavez did, he's gonna be successful in making it as close as possible - H. Lederman had the fight even at round 9 when Ronnie Shields stopped it cause he said the Texan was taking too many punches like in this 9th round sequence, below. While I am taking Floyd one problem with the N'dou sequence on there in comparing him to Hatton is that he is firing at Floyd's head, and he has long arms. Nice use of the forearm by Floyd there though.

 

Please watch closely how is JLC's stance when Ricky explores that angle n fires underneath n at the same time, look how Mayweather's arms block the body shots as he rotates and evades head shots. Yes, Floyd is definitely going to use instinctively the left forearm to set him up if the ref doesn't intervene.

If Hatton tries opening up on Floyd he will get countered in so many ways...floyd loves sneaking punches in while opponents try and throw punches at his body or head he always does it he actuall buckled Oscar's legs a little with a uppercut i think when he was on the ropes and Oscar was opening up with punches....i think Hatton has got to HURT Floyd.....the problem is he will have limited chances to hurt Floyd with ONE punch plus he will be countered more than likely...i honestly think Hatton HAS to try and box switch it up like Cotto did to Mosley throw him off with shooting a jab out there an using some movement...turn the tables make Floyd the hunter(if he can)....however again Floyd is great at adjusting in mid fight mid round and not needing to go back to the corner to adjust and thats what this fight will be about....both fighters will have to adjust WHILE fighting and not just in the corner it will be on the go adjustments and I know Floyd can but we will see about Hatton.

The philly shell doesn't really protect the side rib cage, which is where the damage is done. It's a big IF, but IF Hatton can get a good left hook in, it will be unlike any other body shot he's been dealt before.
