how the hell would you know how hard Author Abraham Flush or Non Flush punches hurt? you probally would get kod by a fly weight pre-prime
The reason this is an extenuating circumstance is because it wasn't a normal punch throwing during the normal course of a fight. The reason people get mad at fighters like Abraham and Bika in cases like the Dirrell DQ/KO and the Mendy DQ/KO is exactly because of the high likelihood of dire repercussions. The fact that Mendy seems to be OK so far doesn't prove that such situations aren't dangerous - it just means that he is damn lucky. For all we know, symptoms could manifest with him in the near future and every true boxing fans should be keeping their fingers crossed that they do not. An aware and alert fighter taking a flush punch during the normal course of a fight is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from a defenseless individual receiving cephalic blunt force trauma from a power puncher.
Long as we get to see Froch vs Abraham who gives a ****? I guarantee you that fight between Dirrell and Ward would have stunk! Far as I'm concerned this is a great time for a big name to step in and take Dirrell's place. Bute, Pavlik, where are you guys?
Some of you guys are insane. So AA who knocks people the **** out when they are standing up trying to defend against him, Lands a flush shot on Dirrell while he is defenseless in a split position and that is not enough to hurt him. AA just knocked the **** out of Jermain Taylor while Taylor was defending the ****ing punch and hurt him. AA is the biggest puncher in the game. The same posters who love the Zab Judah chicken dance KO. now all of a sudden can't believe that Dirrell was really knock out b/c in slow motion his reaction isn't instant. But you can understand how a ZAB jumps to his feet points at the ref and says a few words before going down. You never question Zab right? By those standards KOsta KO over Zab was fake. Dirrell was going to make Millions. Now he isn't going to make ****.
Al Haymon, Dirrell's manager, declined to comment when reached by ESPN.com. Promoter Gary Shaw, who said he was informed of the withdrawal on Wednesday and was upset because Showtime did not notify him of Thursday's teleconference, wouldn't discuss the specifics of the injury. When asked for his opinion on the matter, Hershman said "that's not my job" in terms of pursuing whether or not the injury is legit. Hmmmm suspect i'll say + only 3 moths to heal Hmmm
If havent noticed its some that has some twisted agenda going on...I mean not just long ago...Kessler pulled out and people wished him well, but when Dirrell does it...He's a *****, he's ducking Ward, he doesnt want to fight...Ect, ect.atsch Its quite pathetic reading some posts.
So the majority of straight KO punches don't happen when a fighter doesn't see the shot coming? And many TKOs don't end up with a fighter totally defenceless taking clean punches? This all just seems so fishy, if Dirrell was still suffering 3 months prior to the end of November date (i.e. August time), why didn't he come out and say he can't fight again this year? If he had done it then I'm sure people wouldn't be jumping on his back like they are now.
