If this were any boxing superstar from 1920s-1980s would this even be an issue? No. Definitely no. Sign of the times. Boxing sucks.
Completely different. Montiel was standing upright and at least making a minimal (but stupid) attempt to defend himself by leaning against & holding onto the ropes. A better example of a comparative single punch landing in the midst of a fight would be the shot Enzo Maccarinelli took from Alex Frenkel recently. He very well might have neuro damage from that, which is why the 99.9% of the boxing community with a conscience (even those who have mocked Enzo in the past) were praying that nothing bad did come of it and quickly putting those who joked about it in their place. One hard punch to the head can kill a man. Blows landed on downed/defenseless boxers are NEVER to be taken lightly. How is none of this getting through to you? What is wrong with your brain? Did Arthur Abraham climb into your bed last night and punch you in the face?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/physical_health/conditions/boxing.shtml Brain damage occurs in one of two ways: Catastrophically, meaning it follows an injury sustained in a single bout. This was the case in the Watson bout, when a blood vessel in the skull burst and a clot put pressure on the brain tissue How do i medicined?
DUDE .... You cant' compare ...for example a Middleweight power with Heavyweight power. In our case Supper-Middleweight with Bantamweight
How is it completely different? The shot at 1'40 of the video for example, Hasegawas hands were down and he was in no way shape or form attempting to defend himself. In fact he is looking at the ground when he takes the punch! I really can't see how the AA DQ punch is any worse than that. And for the record, I never disregarded the possibility that he has neurological damage, I really hope he doesn't, and if he does then I hope he makes a full recovery, but I just think it's all far too convenient the way it's come to light.
Has it been proven there is a correlation between damage substained vs weight class competed in? :think

You sign up to be a boxer you run these kinds of risks. Lots of boxers have neurological damage. Parkinson's is an extreme degree of it. ****, if you want to be a regular dude who doesn't want to get punched in the face then just get a regular career. To take millions from boxing fans when you have no intention of ever having a rough night is just dishonesty.
WHAT!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME> you get on your knees and have AA whos arguably the hardest hitter at 168 hit you as hard as you can in the chin unexpectedly. you tell me if dirrell milked that **** after you experience that
How is he taking millions if he's not fighting? If he just wanted the money he could've taken the fight and then had a deja vu performance of his fight with Stevens.
If this AA's shot caused such a damage, Gevor and Taylor should be dead at the moment ! Dirrell is a coward and a loser. I don't believe him.
