The Ring has Burns at #2 and Uchiyama at #3

Meh I dont agree with Rafael on too many things but this I do Burns beat Martinez when he was the man in the division and uchiyama is yet to fight anyone in the top 10 really.
If i'm honest I think all 3 of those guys are lucky they are in a relatively weak division at the moment One step up to lightweight you've got the likes of
    Marquez
    Soto
    Guerrero
    Katsidis
    Rios
and just one step down to featherweight there's the likes of
    Juan manuel Lopez
    Gamboa
    Chris John

I think if any of these guys decided to take a step up or down a division they could take over.

    He's right about Haye though.

I still won't believe he'll fight a Klitschko until the bell actually goes.

I think these rumours of marital problems are just a smokescreen for another pullout to be honest. I'm reading and waiting with my tirade pre-written!

Last time you could say he had a genuine reason for pulling out. He'd have ended up fighting for nothing yet Rafael still holds that against him two years later.

Tbf to Burns it's pretty open at SFW. You could make a case for any of Aoh, Uchiyama and Burns being number one.

Salgado, who was also seen as number 1 in the division by a lot of people before their fight due to his win over the-then highly regarded Linares. Plus Uchiyama has fought better opposition than Burns since both have been champions (not that Uchiyama's opposition is anything to write home about either).

Give it a rest mate. :patsch

Maybe Fat Dan should have actually said something about Wlad in his section rather than just knocking Haye again. Seeing as he's the one that's pulled out of his last 2 signed fights against Chisora I don't think it's a fair criticism anyway.

This doesn't fit with my agenda :yep:deal

Yeah, 130 is wide open. Until there's a few of these fights being made or someone emerges from elsewhere there's not a lot of clarity.

If we aren't getting a unification next I'd like Burns to knock Martinez over again - it would certainly be better than any more Laryea's or Evensen's.

Has Martinez even fought since the Burns loss? He had a fight scheduled this week but got injured.

Unfortunately, unification seems off the cards for Burns atm, Fana is fighting a mando and the Japs aren't coming to the UK and no chance Frank lets Burns go to Japan. Best thing he can do is fight some of the better fighters in the WBO rankings.
