Daniel Dubois vs David Price

the thing is though price only went 10 rounds or whatever with dave allen because dave allen got it totally wrong. if you fight price at a decent pace and land some big shots he's blowing after 5 rounds. dubois will take his head off early, even if he doesnt the pace he sets will ensure price is breathing like a guppy at mid way.

i dont blame price for keeping on with his career, hes not in terrible condition and hes making a living but if he gets another bad knock out he should defo hang it up

 

Agreed, if you force him to fight at a fast pace he will gas. I am interested to see what pace Dubois can hold before he starts to flag a bit. So far, nobody has been good enough to give him competitive rounds, that’s through the quality of Dubois more than anything else. He’s a cracking finisher. I believe he will eventually win a world title but he won’t go unbeaten either.

He is carrying an awful lot of muscle for his frame, and we’ve seen that when a good fighter is sticking a ramrod jab in an opponent’s face, it drains the gas tank. Price has a height and reach advantage and he does carry power, even in that jab. Personally, I think Dubois eventually finds him and finishes the job but I wouldn’t be shocked at all if he has to go through real adversity before he does.

 

You're bang on the money about forcing Price to force at a higher pace, which makes Allen's approach all the more dumb, especially when we had him saying that when he gets opponents to fight at his pace he's a match for anyone. I have no idea what he was thinking, whether he thought the weight loss meant he could do things differently, I don't know, he very quickly became a punchbag for a man I believe he genuinely thought he was going to KO within 5 rounds.

 

A young hungry beast like Dubois is going run through Price regardless of Pricey's advantage in experience.

I'd see Dubois playing it safe for a couple of rounds, then unloading on Pricey who won't be able to keep Dubois off him.

Don't really want to see this as i like Tiny Head.

 

Go and ask Kid Galahad whether Frank can pay that type of money..and the Warrington fight went on standard BT to boot.

Due to the morbid fascination with Price and Daniels growing reputation, Dubois v Price for the British would draw massive ratings on BT.

 

If I was Frank I'd be making this fight and pairing it with Joyce v Povetkin.

 

Wouldn't mind this fight happening but I can't see how Price beats him.

Price vs H. Fury would be much better imo

 

Exactly what I was thinking, a perfect match up.

One guy with a massive punch and no chin against one with no punch power but a great chin.

 

You know it. Surely it would be an easy fight to make too. Would be the first Hughie fight i genuinely look forward to watching. Hopefully big Price is still in roadman mode and gets Hughie fired up a bit.

 

Price lands flush, he can KO anyone.

However the fight is over when DDD lands his first decent punch anywhere above the neck

 

No doubt Price has power, but will he have the confidence to throw them bombs against Dubois..I'm not too sure.

 

With everything against him, he should make it a 2 round fight and throw the kitchen sink at DDD.

DDD is no pudding Allen and this one does not go past 4 rounds even if Price attempts a Hughie Fury

 

will be an enjoyable fight.

but (even though I love the comedy of a Big Pricey special) I'd prefer if he didn't go in with a young killer like dubois.
