Daniel Dubois vs Donnovan Ruddock, Ron Lyle, David Tua

Dubois uses his jab more than Ruddock does. Also Dubois straight right hand will likely get there faster than the left uppercut of Ruddock. I think Dubois stops Ruddock. A Ruddock win wouldn't shock me if he lands though. Dubois tko 6.

Lyle-Dubois could go either way. I think Lyle is a slightly better boxer and Dubois is a slightly stronger one. 50-50 fight for me.

Tua i think beats him. I think Dubois will not be able to block the left hook of Tua. He could beat Ruddock to the punch with the straight right hand but i don't think that means the same with a short stocky iron chinned guy like Tua. One of Tua's left hooks is bound to get through Dubois's guard. Tua tko 5.

I would expect Dubois to hit the canvas early against all of them.

Maybe he gets a lucky punch in against Ruddock, but imo Razor smashes his fragile mandible 8 out of 10 times.

the amount of people on here not giving him a chance is wild. He’s bigger than all of those guys by a good bit. Visible abs in the 240s, 6’5ish, decent skills, great jab, big power.

he’s a big problem for most HWs ever.

 

I give him a chance against Ruddock but I don't give him any chance against Lyle and Tua...

 

I think he sparks out both Ruddock and Lyle, but Tua would probably be a tougher test.

 

I can see him catching Lyle and maybe Ruddock. But prime Tua KO's him every time. Too durable, hits too hard, too good of a finisher. Dubois has physical advantages but he isn't disciplined enough to outbox Tua for 12 full rounds. Best case scenario is he starts of well and uses his size but unravels late which wasn't uncommon in Tua fights.

 

Beats them all. Ruddock early, Lyle mid rounds, Tua points. Best version v best version, Dan has this in the bag.
