atsch How about you explain how Margarito had a size advantage over Cotto, Cintron, Clottey and Williams. Care to explain that? And while you are at it care to explain how a 170lbs Daniel Santos is somehow his equal at 160lbs?
LOL, being a hater at its best. Margarito has fought guys bigger than him and people seem to forget that.
The idiot wants Margarito to fight guys who have a weight advantage on him so his style won't be so imposing. He's an obvious hater since Cotto was dismantled. He's been on this kick ever since that fight. What he won't admit is that Cotto doesn't come in at 147 either. Tony probably had 3lbs if that on Cotto when they fought. And Margarito didn't fight tall either, so throw that out the window. Margarito beat Cotto because of his extraordinary chin, determination, power and endurance. That is just how it is. And it wouldn't be the first time a superior boxer was beaten by a superior brawler.
Dont forget he is afraid of Williams. ****, it's obvious he is gonna fight the big names to get his money now since he is 30 years old and wants to cash in with his big win over Cotto.
I agree. In about 3 years time we will start seeing him fade. A shame really because if these fights had happened years ago they would have been equally entertaining. The problem was competition that lacked balls. As much work as he has done at 147 he really deserves the money heading his way now. The Paul Williams offer isn't bad either. I really hope Arum sets aside his dislike for Haymon to make that fight happen.
I heard four million dollars. Is that split down the middle or Margarito will be getting four million?
This is getting now! A bunch of squirrels fighting for Tony's nut's. Santos will have to take a ticket and wait in line.... in the meanwhile Don't hold your breathe there, Oh! solid headed one.
I really doubt it. Shane isn't the big ticket. Ok maybe Arum could match the 4 if he had Shane as the opponent but it still seems unlikely. However with the PPV success of Cotto-Margarito maybe Arum will pony up some more cash. Goosen is playing his cards right. He knows the rematch with Williams will be a surefire PPV. That's why he's offering 4 right up front. But we'll see how that plays out.
