    34-35 ish.

It's the inactivity that's really hurt him.

Santos can crack and have fought great opposition. Don't be fooled as Santos has an awkward style, meaning he sometimes throw wide counter punches when going backwards. He is tough as nails and against an opponent like Yuri who doesn't carry power in his hands, Santos will be looking for the KO all night. Hope Santos wins this one by UD, better by KO.

    Santos by KO 11

I don't think Foreman got enough power to affect Santos! But like other poster i'm not sure wich Santos will step in the ring tonight!

Santos is a steady southpaw, not too quick, not too strong, but is a good inside counter-puncher with odd angles. I think he is a bit rusty but he has the desire to pull this one out in a dull UD.

I thought Santos is way past it,this was not the same Santos he looked Slow and also didnt look in good shape. Foreman is also better than I thought.

Foreman is strictly a Friday Night Fights level fighter. He is not a world champion by any stretch of the imagination. Tonight he got lucky by catching a poorly conditioned, exteremely rusty, Santos. That fight reminded me a lot of the first Forrest/Mora fight. I hope the hell Daniel had a rematch clause.

Santos blames his inacitivity on King. I have no trouble believing that.

It sadened me to see that fat/slow version of a once great Santos step into the ring. He lost a against a guy who as no accuray and zip un is punchs.

Foreman looked good. I think almost anyone will have problems with his speed. He can also take a punch. If it had gone to 13 rounds Santos would have been knocked out. As far as a rematch, no way Santos could beat Foreman, maybe in his prime but not now. In fact he should retire.

I picked Santos to win, I've always thought he was extremely underappreciated and underrated. Both of those things were true, up until last night. He didn't come in shape, which to me means that it wasn't just Don King that was the problem for his inactivity. He obviously has not been taking his career seriously. Now, he's old and unmotivated.

As far as Foreman though, he took advantage of the situation, and with his style could give some top ten guys fits in the ring. I don't think he's on the level with the Paul Williams of the world, but he should be in the mix for a few years. In fact, he's one of the best conditioned and disciplined fighters we've seen in quite a while.

Good post. Harsh, but accurate. I expected a lot more out of Santos, but I give Foreman props for taking advantage of the opportunity and picking up a title.

If you watched Santos years ago the difference is very clear. He used to use a countering style where he'd tuck the chin in the shoulders and could lure guys to the ropes and take the ****. But can't discredit Foreman on the night he got the tactics spot on, fast hands as well man.

So what do you think the problem was with Santos, Teeto? Was it age and inactivity catching up with him?
