Mayweather easily out boxes Garcia to coast to a boring points decision. People who get out boxed by Herrera don't beat boxers like Mayweather.
that match would be worse than maidana vs floyd... floyd wasted this year fighting maidana ... we al knew maidana could never win...
bhop at middle. technically....danny should have had petersons title when he beat matthysse. i forget why the title wasn't on the line for that fight...but it should have been.
danny is a really good counter puncher and will throw with an opponent. maidana had some success doing both of those things against floyd in this last fight. shots like the one maidana landed in the 3rd is what danny does the whole fight. maidana was also able to counter floyd in spots. maidana is not a counter puncher. garcia is. call me crazy..but mark my words. i tried to tell ppl that cotto would have success against floyd for some of the same reasons. ppl were convinced floyd was going to stop cotto. i knew better. i still believe cotto gave floyd his best fight. garcia has a much better chance than cotto and maidana. styles make fights. herrera did better than expected against danny. i knew that was going to be a tough fight. i'd like to see them rematch down the line. for now, i wanna see danny fight floyd.
i disagree with most of what you said, i didnt think cotto mayweather was that close i never thought cotto could get to him, even though mayweather didn do much either, but cotto and garcia arnt similar at all in my view
cotto landed on floyd more than any other opponent and he also made floyd miss more than any other opponent. i scored it 7-5 for floyd. cotto and garcia have different styles...but both are counter punchers. cotto is much more aggressive in his approach than danny.
danny garcia's pop and camp have clearly already refused a floyd fight.... they won't even move up to 147 until floyd officially calls it a day.
after danny beat mathysse on the floyd's undercard.... that was the obvious go to match up..... they were asked about it.... and every time they were asked, the response was 'we're not chasing the floyd fight'.... 'danny needs a couple of fights at 147 before he fights floyd'.... etc.... danny went on the record saying 'we don't need floyd' aka.... we're waiting for him to retire..... because he was in pole position after beating mathysse.
