This is quite true. I must admit, I never fully appreciated the part the toe plays in proper pugilism till I was educated during a post-fight interview with David Haye. It can even mean the difference between scoring an early KO and being battered around the ring from corner post to corner post, flopping like a fish out of water, grasping your opponents midsection and dropping down towards his genitalia with felatio-esque appearance. Considering that the man went the distance with just nine healthy toes, the mind boggles at what he could accomplish with eleven !
