I lambasted this guy when I heard he was picking Molina for his next fight but this offer has to be nearly as bad as his Rod Salka pick. Danny's career looked bright especially his Matthyse and Khan performance. It started to go downhill when he lost to Herrera, then fought Salka a extremely lighter guy and then lost to Peterson (in my opinion). I honestly think he is the biggest joke in boxing, he got gifted the belt, has had two gift decisions, he doesn't fight anyone who is a solid 147 guy its usually light punching and guys who have come through the weights (Paulie & Guerrero).

I would honestly rather Skeete, Im not sure why Amir isn't taking the mandatory option he has but maybe he's tired of getting knocked out, I don't think Garcia makes my top 5 anymore in the welterweight division I think Felix Diaz would destroy him let alone Spence, Porter, Brook or Thurman. He will be taking an L soon as he steps near those guys.

I agree. Sometimes it's better for fighters to take a loss early on, otherwise their management tend to protect the '0' rather than make the fights. He's lost a lot of kudos over the past couple of years. Maybe he's hoping to stretch out his unbeaten record long enough to stay in prime position for any Mayweather come-back?

Also agree, Garcia's power and strength hasnt carried thro moving up in weight. Guys can take his best at 147 and push him back negating pretty much the tools he has. He has defo been waiting for the mayweather fight and im actuallly very suprised Floyd hasnt arranged it yet as I think he is taylor made for Floyd. I dont actually mind Swift that much but due to his father I want him to lose. and due to the fact that IMO he lost to Herrera and Peterson just edged him (although can see why judges could give it to Swift, Herrera was a clear loss tho). Fighting Eggington would further damage his rep, he would walk right thro' eggington and I dont think his team would take the Skeete fight, cos if Skeete could take his shots (not sure he could tbh) then his style would cause nightmares for Danny however I would still take Swift to edge it.

Garcia really has had a hand picked career. Got lucky against Khan, good performance against Lucas, but pretty much lost to Peterson and a bunch of others. He only boxed Malignaggi a couple of fights and people think he is elite. Not a fan.
