Because Branco fought for a vacated title, Branco was a C grade super-middle really, Drews beat him then came to Australia for a payday and a jog against Green before retiring. It's a paper title if there ever was one. I'm not a fan of Mundine or Green btw.

i guess we will differ on opinion of what a paper and real world title is to me beating the guy that has the title is good enough. That it was a terrible fight and drews ran like a girl is not greens fault imo
I am a fan of green and mundine I huess we will agree to disagree

Just curious then, what's your definition of a paper title?

I like Danny Green as a fighter, but it definitely was a paper title.
He would have had to have unified with at least the next worst champ Zsolt Erdei in my mind to change it from a paper title.

If you are the interim champion and the real champ retires and they make you the champ without fighting for it.
when green beat Lucas that was for an interim title. not a world title, shouldn;t even have a belt for an interim title but when he beat drews as bad as it was he beat the guy who had the belt so to me he is the champion no paper about it

    Hell NO.
But look who he bet mate, Stipe Drews, who won it from Silvio Branco after he fought for the vacant strap.
No world beaters in that bunch.:deal

Cmon even u have to admit thats 1 of the weaker strings of champions u could find in recent times.

All of the other champs have more legit titles than Greeny did sadly.

sorry posted this whilst you were replying but still is in reference to your last post

or is it not so much the title but the quality of opposition that you fight to win the title that makes you a paper champion. I have a definition no matter how good or bad you are. But I can see that you judge on the quality which is another way of looking at it i guess

I understand what you are saying Kegsy if he beat adamek he had a real world title no matter which belt it was but if he beat drews again no mmatter what belt it's a paper one. i understand your logic just dont agree with it. To me you win the belt WBA WBC or IBF and you are the champion no matter who you beat otherwise it gets to subjective as to who you beat and were they good enough to make this a real title or a paper one. too much thinking for a dunmb pprick like me

Thats not nice I'm sure lefty has money in his pocket, friends and family. No need to put someone down when they don't agree with your one sided view.

As for Greeny he can do what he wants, when he wants it's his life BUT do not rub that rich crap in anyones face "money isn't everything" :bart

Thanks that's sweet of you but this guy doesn't bother me in the slightest, he sounds like a broken record talking about how i'm a nobody and i'm jealous of Green because of his riches and fame, as you pointed out money has little relevance to happiness and your level of contentment in life so to be honest i kinda feel sorry for him if that's what he measures a person by.
I don't compare myself to this person or that person because i focus on improving myself, i don't see why Shiner wants to compare me to Danny Green, it's all relative and we can compare Danny Green to a better richer boxer aswell if you want to play that game and you think it means something, i really don't know what point he is trying to make.
