    The Brother was A Warrior

If half today's so called fighter had his heart they would be the better for it.

The man had the heart the size of a Great Man and that what he was.

A good guy and a brave guy (Potter was on the same night as Golota quit against Tyson) but took years to truly believe in himself and even then proved horribly inconsistent. He flattened Tyson and Meehan but lost to Sprott and Sam.
Overall, he was the best of a bad British bunch after Lennox's retirement.

Danny Williams was one of my favourite fighters. Heart of a lion, knockout power, and a gentleman to boot.

Cliched I know, but his flaws added to his draw for me because you never knew what you were going to get.

Hated to see him lose to Baker, but everyone's got to go at some point, and it probably cements that Danny should hang up the gloves for good.

Look out Burger King, you'll need to hire more staff......

Good decision. I think people focus too much on what he hasn't achieved as opposed to what he has. Not everyone can be a world class boxer but he's had a fantastic career and been a great survant to British boxing. I hear he does alright outside of the ring so hopefully life will treat him well.

    Thanks Danny.

Sorry to see him go, but it was time. Best British HW of his era, imo - and a guy with huge heart in the ring, if not the best dedication to training outside of it.

Shame he went out like that rally getting beaten by a no mark.
