I give props to Vic for challenging Nonito. But didn't Vic's promoter (Gary Shaw) said that he doesn't want to give Nonito a payday?

I do hope that Vic challenging Nonito has the blessing of Shaw.

Yep. All the people hating on Nonito seem to forget that it was Vic that would have none just a year ago. Now he needs Nonito so it is now on Nonito? I don't think so.

I don't get some of you so-called boxing fans. You rip on fighters for not challenging thenmselves and avoiding other fighters, but here you have a fighter who was brtally KO desperately seeking a rematch, and you gusy talk **** about him. :-(

I actually give him mad props for doing what many refuse to do. Fight a guy who you lost to, and worse KO you out!

props to vic for asking for a rematch but talking trash to the guy who whooped your ass (and calling it luck?) is just plain stupid. IMO this would be a more competitive than the last time.

Thats BS,Vic has always wanted a rematch and he has been calling Donaire out for a long time now,its fat**** Shaw who's still bitter with Nonito for leaving him that doesnt want the fight to happen and Donaire doesnt seem to want the fight either.

I ****s with Vic heavy!!!! Vic deserves a rematch. With the exception of the king kong fight he has effectively ripped every opponant since. After his last fight he said he wants king kong or donaire. He said he dreams about those two cats and can't wait for a rematch. That's how a fighter should behave. **** that!!! Give the raging bull a rematch!!

Well, the old saying of money talks and bull**** walks. He can talk until he gets blue in the face. Let his promoter come up with a good dollar figure and I bet the fight would be on. Donaire and company are just ripping him back by just ignoring him. Donaire has the upper hand now.

nah iv'e read somewhere before that donaire also wants to give darchinian a rematch but since shaw doesnt want to do anything with him, then theres no use calling vic out.

Darchinyan doesn't WANT Donaire, he NEEDS him after his recent loss. Only a while ago Shaw made it clear they don't want a rematch, now that they lost they are begging for it. I won't blame Donaire one bit for turning them down.

So Shaw doesn't work for Vic? Or he knows it won't happen so his call out is a bluff?

Just consider his trash talk similar to Mayorga's, people either like it and laugh or just hate every second of it, can't be in the middle. I personally like his trash talk like I did Mayorga's.

James "the buffet king" Toney doesn't fall in the same category, at least these guys talked trash about guys they eventually signed to fight or seriously wanted to fight. Toney talks trash about guys he shamelessly ducks.

Again, doesn't Shaw work for Vic? Vic can't tell him to make the fight?

Give him some props for wanting the rematch and fighting just about everyone. Most people don't want to go back in the ring with someone who had the KTFO. Vic has gone on to do bigger and better things. Donaire hasn't really done much since.
