Good post all the way through :good

I am rooting for Vic a lot in this fight, i hope he avenges his defeat in KO style, but i also favor Donaire to repeat his victory, and maybe even by KO once again :-(

I want Vic to win. he is my favourite active fighter. I also agree whenever anyone says he is an under-rated boxer. His stellar amateur career should indicate this - but for those who watched his early career it is apparent also.

Yeah, he was also overconfident going into the first bout.

So even with him respecting Nonito properly, and even with him using more of his boxing skills, I still only see him delaying the inevitable.
In some aspects Vic is mentally a very strong person. His will to win and his self-confidence are exemplary. But other aspects of his mental game aren't so good; for example his discipline lets him down. He wants to be the bully in the ring, and he drops back into this style of fighting way too often - but against Nonito that just wont work.

Why would anyone be enthusiastic about rematching someone that he destroyed with ease?

Why do you insist that Nonito is not interested in this fight? Nonito already called out Vic but Gary Shaw said that Nonito will not get a payday from him for leaving his stable. It's only recently that Gary had a change of heart.

Because his career has been stagnant since that fight?
Because it was the last time he fought a really big name? Because it may put him back on the map?

People know that Donaire is good, he has been ranked in the top 10 P4P (no bad fighters manage that). But who has he fought that was anybody apart from Vic? Why hasn't he had any big fights since then?

It would make sense for him to get enthused - this may be the fight that actually gets his career going in the direction that his talent says it should.

It doesn't matter if he has fought the guy before, beaten them before - lost to them before - or never actually fought them before. If it is a fight that could spark a turnaround for better things then it is worth getting enthused for!
