I know you are addressing Kid Cubano, but as for me, I do feel he Guillermo deserves that shot. Rigo is a champ!!! He beat Rico Ramos and took a legit title. We should be applauding Rigondeaux for wanting this challenge with only 11 fights when we got a superstar like Canelo has over 40 fights and is a champ but has not truly challenged himself with a prime top fighter who is natural in that division.

Sure he has 11 fights but he has beaten some decent fighters. Look at his last three fights Marroquin, Kennedy, Ramos and look at Donaire last three fights Arce, Nishioka, Mathebula. Considering where the fighters were in at that point in their careers, I say it's about even.

Just my honest unbiased opinion. :good

A rematch is so damn pointless yet I've heard people lobbying for it. Makes no sense whatsoever especially when Donaire has guys like John and Gamboa on deck. Now if Vic starts knocking good fighters out, maybe we can talk. Until then Donaire picking on another old, washed up fighter would only make him a fraud.

If Vic won his last few fights, he would have a case.

I coudnt say it better, thanks.:good
They keep forgetting where Rigo is coming from. His debut as a pro was on national tv and by his 6 fight he was fighting beranza who has been in the ring with almost everyone at BW and SBW.Rigo has been so far in 2 pacs undercard.
By his 11 fight nobody knew who Nonito was, other than very close relatives.

  10. No disrespect but Rico ramos is Patrick from spongebob. Ill leave it at that. Ni disrespect but just putting it out there.

Marrowho, Kennewho.. Nishioka beats all of those fellas with EASE.

This is the big boy league, and the little man has woken the beast itself. Im telling you, Rigonwho won't see it past 6-7 rounds ASSUMING HE RUNS. Because IF he has a PAIR of balls and stands like a true warrior, he will go down in 3 or less.

Respects to Vic but there is no point back then and especially now.

People wanted to see Donaire with other styles considering we already knew he figured out Vic's from the early rounds. And Vic is not the adjust ing type technical boxer.

Cocky and sometimes delusional but thanks for the memories Vic. Let others have the limelight now.

You don't need 20, 40 or a 100 fights to face the top dog, is been know even fighters with 0 professional fights has fought the top dog, a least Rigondeaux is holding a Belt and Nonito say all along that he want it to unified, so there you go, if he doesn't fight GR he can't call himself a unified Champion, beating Vazquez, old worn out Arce coming from a quitting against the PR fighter, the retired and old Nishioka that his best win was against a young glass jawed Gonzalez doesn't make him the top Dog, he have to prove it, the only legit belt he's holding is the one he wrestled from Mathebula, and he got hit a lot in that fight...

Now that is absolute crazy talk. Mathebula is better than Marroquin and Kennedy, and Nishioka is head and shoulders way above those guys, so much so that it's an insult to even think that, let alone express it.

Nishioka is an old fart that was there for the pay, Marroquin would had ktfo the retired fraud and Mathebula too, Kennedy is a decent gate keeper that's all, Marroquin will win a belt in the near future and remeber that GR didn't want to fight because all the $h1t that was going on, he was in Miami back in court only 72 hours before the fight, on top of that Marroquin out weight himby a least 8 pounds.
