 Outside of planet Slap how can stating the facts be considered trolling? :-(

Seriously, I really don't give a **** what these fighters consider themselves, I'm just concerned about the integrity of the British and Irish titles....The way that we carry on now both are devalued. A fighter who contends for the Irish title shouldn't be able to fight for the British until after a qualifying period has passed (4 years ??) and vice versa. Changing nationality for commercial reasons leaves a bit of a sour taste in the mouth....its nearly as bad as Frankie Gavin claiming to be a Brum City fan, outrageous.

PS: For obvious reasons its completely pointless trying to play mind games with a Paddy :deal

with regards point one, well why do you constantly bring it up then?

with regards point two, I dont have as much a problem with it as you do to be honest.

Lots of guys from Northern Ireland that dont consider themselves British fight for the British title because of the exposure and Euro ranking it brings. Its hardly a crime and I wouldnt be my knickers in a twist.

I also dont have an Irish with guys that dont necessarily consider themselves primarily Irish. I'd actually think they have more right to fight for an Irish title than if one of the Cork Cubans took out an Irish passport tomorrow and fought for it.

Until the 1980's the Irish title was basically a sub title of the British title much like the Scottish title is now.

You have to respect Barker for taking the fight. I hope to see a competitive fight (probably unlikely). A one-sided beating by Martinez does not interest me.

I hope Barker is compeditive but I envisage Martinez landing heavy shots and not sure how well Darren will stand up to them. Still, you got to be in it to win it innit? You get me?

Good luck to Barker. Respect where respect is due. Hope he can give Martinez problems, i think he can, but he'll lose on points i think.

You are acting like an idiot because you still find these nationality baiting threads funny. Honestly these threads come up at least once every single week on what is otherwise a good forum. How you could find it amusing at this point is beyond me Dont lower its standard by getting involved in these repetitive nationality arguements. And this isnt just directed at you, but every other poster who still finds this crap amusing.

Slap may be biased but hes right on this occasion, its boring, annoying and repetitive. Find some other way to amuse yourselves or bring it to the lounge.
