    Round 2

Spada jabs to the body and Barker tries to drop a left hook on his shaven pate. Barker looks calm to the point of sedation, hanging back tall and straight and throwing his shots two or three at a time but without much conviction or follow-through. Spada is trying to hook his way in, starting low and bringing them up but hitting nothing. Barker lands his jab from outside. Spada has a pair of hard successive overhand rights blocked. Barker keeps pushing his jab out while circling, but Spada is far enough away to sidestep it. 1-2 to the gloves by Barker backs Spada up. Spada lunges with a hook and just misses. Taps to the body by Spada. Barker circles out of the way of a lead right. Barker rolls with a grazing jab and lands a left hook. Spada lands a straight right as Barker is trying to circumvent him on the inside, and follows up with a big left hook flush! Best combination yet from Spada. Barker trots around to his left, and tosses out jabs and flurries to the bell.

More of the same from Spada could tip a round his way easily. Barker isn't sitting on a whole lot of good work, just slightly better overall.

    Round 3

Spada comes batting in with both hands, with Barker pouncing away and leaving his left arm out to gum up the works and stave Spada off. Spada keeps applying the pressure and blocks several jabs from Barker. Overhand right by Spada grazes the top of Barker's head. Barker is just pushing his jab out, not really slowing Spada down with it. Lead uppercut to the chest from Barker suddenly rushing forward, surprising Spada before getting back out to circle. Spada follows and misses jabs wide of Barker's head, and then has a right cross ducked.

    Round 4

Barker is very much the less eager fighter, circling out and jabbing defensively and barely budging Spada when he does. Spada walks through the jabs and gladly wears a right hand while wending his way in and going for the body. Barker lands two flush jabs and a straight right hand through Spada's guard. Spada gets in and spanks him around the back. Barker again pierces his guard with a stiffened jab. Spada keeps working his way in and they get tied up by the ropes. Broken. Tied up again. Spada tires a bit and drifts while trying to circle right past Barker, and has his left arm hung up with Barker's a bit. Barker whacks him in the side/back of the head as Spada is partially turned away from him as a result. Barker keeps jabbing and moving. Weak right hand loops around the guard and scores. Barker throwing only from long range, and blocking when Spada gets close before leaning into him for a clinch.

    Round 5

Spada comes forward, taking jabs on and between the gloves. Spada gets in and grabs, briefly before being told to let go. Spada tries to jab his way in now instead of just walking in idle. Barker is confident moving on the outside, and drops his hands - eating a jab and right hand as punishment. Barker throws a hooking flurry while stepping in to spin Spada around. Barker is throwing his jab long and loose. Spada is hooking his way in and grabbing Barker, trying to get him to use energy squirming free but not getting help from the break-happy ref. Barker takes a glancing right hand. Barker lands a pair of hooking combos around the guard. NICE counter 1-2 by Barker as Spada threw a lazy jab! Clinch. Barker keeps jabbing while backing up and lobs a 1-2 into Spada's face.

    Round 6

Spada is now walked to the ropes and wildly leaping forth with desperation twists to the body, hooking with both fists. Barker is DRILLING him with the 1-2 against the ropes. Beautiful stuff by Barker here. Spada getting tooled. Spada leaps in behind a parried jab and collapses against Barker into a clinch. Spada is very sloppy now, causing breaks to be called every few seconds. HUGE 1-2 by Barker! Spada smothers him and tries to tap him atop the head while wrestling him. More clinching. Barker watches him from outside, lands a jab to the chest between the forearms and steps in with an uppercut to the body. They circle around each other rapidly and Spada lands a wide left hook partially as they whirl past each other.

    60-54 Barker

spadas workrate isnt far behind barkers and hes landing some significant shots even with barker keeping distance, at midrange spada is effective forcing barker into a guard. i like the work spada is doing on barkers body now. 6th is a better round for spada

    Round 7

Barker jabs long, and puts his arms up as Spada muscles his way in past the jab. They wrestle around, with Barker just waiting for the breaks and eager to work on the outside behind his jab. Spada throws a wild overhand right that is ducked and results in them folded together once more. Barker lands a soft right hand on Spada's chin as the Italian comes in and grabs him again. Spada trots along after him and throws his arms around Barker. Spada is making it very rough on the inside. Spada isn't throwing many punches but is pushing Barker's head down, pinning his arms, and not letting him be effective. Body shots by Spada.

    10-9 Spada

    Round 8

Spada comes hooking in now and is actually catching Barker with the tips of them as Barker pulls straight back all the way into a corner. Barker is trying to flurry as Spada advances on him but isn't getting off cleanly before the tie-ups. Barker lands a good sequence backing Spada into a post but can't keep it pouring on. Spada blocks a left hook but leaves himself wide open for a big right hand. Spada now lands a few hard power shots, hooking away on the inside. Barker pushes him to the ropes and lands a solid right. Barker throws a left uppercut but it slides off Spada's arms as the latter is chopping away down the middle. Flush jab from Spada smacks loudly against Barker's lip. Body work from Barker, very nice. Spada is pressed against the ropes. Combo by Barker.

    10-9 Barker

    Round 9

Barker comes in with his guard up, not punching and just leaning into Spada. The Italian works diligently while backed up to the ropes, letting his hands go. Barker finally starts to jab out, and throws a 1-2 that carries him ducked over into a clinch. Barker leans in and shoves Spada to the ropes. Combo by Barker pushes Spada into the corner momentarily. They clinch and are broken up, with the referee warning Barker for holding behind the head. He hasn't given Spada one warning for initiating the lion's share of the clinching. Odd. Barker walks him to the ropes and has his arms pinned under Spada's. BIG COMBO to the head by Barker, slapping away with overhands from either side. Spada is backed consistently up to the ropes, only attacking when he bounces off of them and tries to clasp himself around Barker and tap the body. More clinching. More dirty infighting from both. The referee sternly warns both. Clinch. Barker lands body shots.

    10-9 Barker

    89-82 Barker

spadas shots still look significant even with all that disruptive holding. barkers been taking plenty of punishment. good for him for withstanding and regaining composure, he is keeping disciplined.
