Remember when people seriously bought into the idea that Dave Allen could challenge for a World Title, that he could beat Joshua, madness. Kash Ali would be a good match up, I'd back him to beat Allen, especially a post lockdown Allen that hasn't fought in over half a year.
I think they're missing a trick by not feeding him to Babic. I appreciate it's short notice, but I reckon Babic would take the fight. Both limited but have a bit of buzz around them. Would be quite an entertaining fight for the more casual audience and both are becoming 'names' in Matchroom. Surely there's only room for one novelty fighter in the stable so let them battle it out for that prize.
Ludicrously Lovejoy is ranked 15 by the WBA, so Allen winning should give him a ranking - Not that it does any good for him, but it makes the Hughie fight more worthwhile if Hughie hopes to ever get back to world level.
Allen wasn't going to beat Hammer so him losing to Babic means little to Hearn. If Allen wins then Hearn should be glad to be rid of Babic who in that case was going nowhere anyway.
If Allen wants to win a title before retiring, the Midlands area belt is currently vacant. That is about his level.
Lenroy Thomas is in ok shape and in the UK already as he has been up at Vauxhall sparring with Chisora this week.
When Babic gets crushed at heavyweight the Matchrooom out is already in place, he is too small and is really a Cruiserweight, he will be a different animal down there.
