I would love for Allen to retire, but if he doesn't, why don't they just give him a couple of eastern European cab drivers to fight? If he comes through them, give him Sexton. He shouldn't be fighting good prospects or established pros.
Dave Allen is a conman. He lied to the public saying he was in the best shape of his life for the Price fight. I hope he just retires but if he comes back and pretends he can mix it at the level of someone like Dubois then he will get what he deserves. But Frank should not entertain this fight.

Logically if you are warren you make this fight all day long , an easy win for dubois where he will look good over a guy who has a substantial (overblown) media following. Problem is, is that Dave try's to win and always plods forward. If you compare him to journeymen they aren't trying to win most times, and tie up and move away regularly to avoid serious punishment. That, paired with his solid chin, is a recipe for disaster. I've no problem with a popular fighter topping small hall shows and boxing low journeymen, but to repeatedly step up to top domestic level and above and take the beatings he is doing is very unhealth
His outlook is clearly "make hay while the sun shines". He's not a dull bloke and knows exactly what he's doing. He doesn't need his hand held by anyone; this 2019 everyone's a victim mentality needs to stop. If he wants to pay for his housing portfolio or whatever it is by potentially gambling with his faculties, then the best of luck to him. He may well come through it all and be laughing at everyone. I also think the "punch drunk" thing is massively over egged as well. Recent vids of him when he's sober and he sounds absolutely fine. Hey, at the last the process takes a while.
