David Benavidez vs David Morrell is set for the Autumn

Canelo was Unified Middleweight Champ. He didn't drop his MW belts when he fought Fielding. The Jacobs match was a Middleweight Unification. Canelo was WBA, WBC, and Ring MW Champ, Jacobs was IBF Champ. Canelo beat Jacobs to win the IBF. Canelo had not won the IBF before that because GGG was stripped of it before their rematch. Canelo ended his Middleweight career as WBA, WBC, IBF, Ring and Lineal Champ. Which was a hell of a lot more important than fighting Benavidez for a single belt at SMW.

 

I thought everyone was ducking the "Mexican Monster"? Sure as hell seems like Morrell wants all that smoke.
All these guys that are boogeymen that claim guys are ducking them are just as big of frauds as the big money fighters.

Benavidez going to duck Morrell like Sturm ducked GGG.

 

you are comparing GGG to a prospect with 9 fights? lol. Morrell is canelos mandatory why didnt he fight him?

 

Canelo is supposed to fight his mandatory, the division he is relevant and has titles, aka 168, where Benavidez is.
Is he wants to move up and down and gets his *** kicked I have no problem with it, but don't hold the belt hostage.
You are losing credibility trying to defend Canelo ducking Benavidez and coming with ridiculous things that somehow Benavidez ducked X or Y guy when he was 19 or 20 years old, or how he d**** the guy he gave a beating in Plant.

And again no matter how you try to spin it. Benavidez is Number 1 guy in the division(obviously outside of Canelo who is the Champ), and Benavidez wanting to fight Canelo for quite some time. This is the biggest fight to make for Canelo.

And we saw what happen with Canelo moving to 175.

As far as Morrell goes, all Benavidez has said is that the fight is not agreed. As i said this is a great fight, a fight that Benavidez is not supposed to take on, and it's his decision if he is going to fight Morrell or not.

And what you think Benavidez level is irrelevant, as everyone has him as the clear number 1 in the division(again outside of Canelo) and the biggest and money fight for Canelo.
So trying to excuse Canelo ducking him is just bad for you.
If DB is an easy fight, why is Canelo ducking him for quite some time ?

Benavidez in my book is all wrong for Canelo style wise, and Canelo will get annihilated if he lose that fight, but his judges robbed Benavidez, as with many Canelo fights in the past.
That's why Canelo doesn't want this fight.

 

facts is facts when Canelo was 23 he was fighting Austin trout and guys like Lara, Benavdiez out here ducking fights it’s cool tho the only person who has to take tough fights is Canelo everybody else can sit around waiting to get picked and that’s fine with you

 

Trout was Canelos 43rd pro fight. Benavidez only has 27 fights. Let that sink in.

 

And Canelo was getting gift decision. This is a facts. Canelo is fighting from very young age and his prime is done i think. Everyone is different as some peak early, some late, depends on million factors. DB is just 26 and is a number 1 behind Canelo as champ.
And Benavidez ain't ducking anyone. He wanted the Canelo fight for a long time. He ain't champ at the end of the day and can mind his business.

 

GGG had 8 fights when he was next in line to fight Sturm.

 

Even before Trout he fought Vazquez 2x, Rhodes, Cintron, Lopez, Mosley, that’s better than David entire career right now…
And you keep talking about a David was a champ, Rollie is a champ the man won a vacant title for striped for doing coke, the fought an old Dirrell for that same title later on.
His 2 best fights are an old Dirrell and Caleb Plant who got KO’s by Canelo the yr before. I have no issue with Canelo vs Benavidez next but acting like Canelo ducking him it’s ridiculous,

 

Seems like this matchup was misreported by Dan Rafael, who is usually very solid with information.

 

Who did he turn down a fight with?

 

I feel this is an easier fight than Plant for Canelo and I’m not a Canelo FAN
