Benevidez's style is predicated on being ultra offensive, so he's going to take a shot to give 2-3 back.

I was impressed by the speed and power of his counters.

Erm.. Yes I did. I gave a pretty clear answer why they were cherrypicks. The QUOTE is below.
You see markus, you fail to understand or refuse to believe that a fighter can cherrypick fighters based on timing, cardstacking, opportunism. You fail to understand all these things can be done even if you're fighting" champions" as detailed below. Like it's not hard to understand, I don't get why you're getting in a fuss about:
    You can absolutely cherrrypick champions

It's a good scrap and I think Benavidez is clearly a live dog. It's a good fight I would like to see.

I thought Lemieux would give a better account of himself last night but the size difference was just too much, it looked like what it was a hard punching middleweight against a hard punching light heavyweight. Canelo? If Lemmy was too small so is ginger, that fight will never happen as Canelo would get stopped and he knows it.

I’m on the fence on who would win cause Benevidez hasn’t been in with a solid 168 lber. I’ll love to see in there with Plant, Andrade , Charlo. But non of these guys want anything to do with him. He is danger with little reward. Other than plant most guys are chasing that Canelo payday. Canelo has zero interest. He has Bivol and /or GGG already lined up.

It’s about 50/50 for me right now.
If it happens I can see Canelo catching and hurting Benevidez for a stoppage but I can also see him out boxing and even stoping Canelo.

Canelo went for undisputed at the right time. He may not have asked for it, but he sure was enjoying the pfp status. When someone from his most comfortable weight division destroys him he will be lucky to stay in the top 10.

Lemieux hits harder than Canelo, Benavides is used to real power, Canelo's power shouldn't be a problem.

This makes no sense, Alvarez is suppose to put his career on hold & wait for Benavidez to get over being undisciplined and get his belts back

Again that not Alvarez fault, blame the fans.

That's cool. No fighter is unbeatable...fighters lose all the time.

Before the Bivol fight, I would have favored Canelo 60-40. After the Bivol fight, it's 50-50. Now, I'm talking about a fair fight without Canelo judges.

Bivol exposed a lot of Canelo's weaknesses and Benavidez is fast enough and skilled enough to take advantages of those weaknesses. Bivol has much better distance control than Benavidez and that's what negated a lot of Canelo's effectiveness. But then again, a lot of Bivol's success comes from mid-range.

Benavidez fights well at any range due to his length and fast hands. I can see Benavidez countering Canelo the same way Bivol did after Canelo's usual 1-2-3 combo with the last shot to the right side of the body. I can see Benavidez baiting Canelo the same way, blocking the final body shot and rocking him with a left hook when Canelo starts pose after his combos. The difference... Benavidez is a powerful puncher.

Benavidez has a decent chance to score a TKO because he can take advantages of Canelo's openings and he punches harder than Bivol. He's big guy so he should be able to take some of Canelo's shots and give some back.

    It's a very intriguing fight.

Canelo and his fans have been acting like he's the savior of boxing or something. He tells Andrade he is a horrible boxer, pushes Plant, comes into the ring " pound for pound king" on a platform. Canelo needed to come back down to earth. Now the walls are closing in, Bivol is on the left, Benavides is on the right, where can I go says Canelo? I think GGG is ripe and ready for the taking at 40 after 4 years, says Reynoso. Are you sure says Canelo? Yeah, I think so.
