I havent read any posts, just the title so if Im off topic, well, Im off topic, but I thought Haye did reasonably well.
His tactics were, despite what McGuigan etc were saying were spot on, make Wladimir come forward and catch him as hes punching.
He tried and tried, did well defensively in making Wladimir miss, and when he did land his punches had a far more visable effect on Wlad than vice versa.

He lost to a champion in top form, with huge physical advantages that he couldnt overcome.
I thought it was an excellent fight, the kinda fight I expected as both really respected the other INSIDE the ring.

I think Haye did enough, should he not retire, to fight and beat an Arreola/Adamek/Povetkin to justify a rematch.
And before Im accused of being a Haye fan, Im not, I found myself supporting Wladimir.

Well i didnt get into details of Roach's Game plan for Haye, but as far as i Know haye as a fighter, He's never been a pressure guy to go all out and stomp the guy. He's never thrown many punches either, just look a his physique, he's born to throw Single powerful shots. He's more of a Counterpuncher, even his early knockouts were mostly from set up traps, when he lured oponnents into his right hand.

And that was a strategy for this fight, trying to Counter Wlad, set traps By good balance, occasional Attacks to behead the gaint. It didnt work, but imo this plan had a better chance to succed, than this suggested early berserk attack. Haye is weak physicaly compared to Wlad, Wlad would just grab him take his breath away, and knock him out few minutes later. instead Haye had 36 minutes to try, ofcourse eventually he failed. But there was some moments that he was really close to tap that ass hard, I think that Wlad was once little hurt by that overhand right when he immidietaly Clinched for good 15 secs.

We'll never know which Tactic would pay better in practice, But honestly i think neither could really be succesful, Haye just isnt that good, ( or Wladimir Is that good) for any gameplan to change the final result.

(most of the time obviously , if they met 100 times i bet haye would knock wlad out atleast 15 times ;))

 oh shut the **** up. Floyd talks a big talk and back that **** up. 41-0.
Maybe he doesn't knock you out, but he sure backs it up. That's one reason why he's hated because he talks and nobody can shut him up

I thought he would get KO'd but did enough to survive.Part of why he didnt get KO'd is because he looked to survive.

contrary to popular belief Haye stayed in range for a great deal of time and slipped a great deal of punches, although im not so sure that Wlads jab is an ATG one, he done a good job keeping Haye occupied with workrate. Haye spent too long looking for that one punch that never comes.

Some of you did notice that Haye stood square on at times, didn't you? Thats not exactly running or trying to survive is it?

The bookies will be doing cartwheels no doubt.

Haye did alright he would be getting alot more praise if he had kept his mouth shut, theres alot of hate for Haye on this site which is understandable, but people have to look through the **** and use there common sense that Haye actually was Wlads biggest test in years by a long shot and wobbled him a couple of times.
Well done Wlad he had a excellent fight.
