Well Haye was celebrating his "sub-par performance" at the end of the fight so clearly he felt that losing his title and going the distance was a good result.

I agree with you, Haye just is'nt very good.

.....and if they met 100 times with Haye using the exact same strategy, Wlad beats him 100 times.

Haye just is'nt going to knockout Wlad looking for just one shot.

Sanders and Brewster are bigger punchers than Haye, and even they did'nt take Wlad out with single shots.

......besides, Wlad has added the art of holding on for dear life that he was'nt good at when he was knocked out by Sanders and Brewster.

Haye stunned Wlad with a good, clean, hard shot in the final round......Wlad immediately took a hold of Haye and in the 10 seconds he had a hold of Haye, was the time he needed to clear his head of the shot.
.....when the ref seperated them, Vlad was back clear headed and on the attack.
For Wlad to go right back on the offensive after getting stunned with a shot, that there showed me Wlad did'nt respect Haye's one shot power to deter him from keeping on advancing.

Haye never takes Wlad out with a single shot.
It would have to be a matter of luck and land just perfect for that to happen.

OK, maybe one time out of a hundred.;)

Wlad completely took away Hayes gameplan in this fight.
All the pre-fight bs was designed to make Wlad open up and be less cautious.
In reality this was never going to happen.
Once Haye realised this and realised that Wlads jab is quicker than he thought it was, he didn't have a plan b.
What surprised me about Haye was that his defence and chin were both much better than his offensive work which was the complete opposite of what I expected...

Tactical does NOT always equate to boring.

    Curry-Mccallum
    Gonzalez-Carbajal
    Mccallum-Toney 1
    Morales-Pacquiao 2

For instance were tactical and NOT boring. I was disappointed Wlad didn't ko him yesterday but the next time I watch it I'll be more neutral differing how I perceive the fight just slightly. It was a decent fight until about the 6th then it became boring but against I'll rewatch it and see if I enoy it better. Right after the fight I gave Wlad credit for dominating 97% of the fight and yes he could've been more aggressive but he controlled the whole fight after the 5th and fought against a negative opponent the right way, not the wrong way that Pacquiao did against Shane. Haye in the early rounds took a HUGE risks abandoning his guard and inviting his opponent to hit him ala Mayorga against Cotto but like Cotto, Wlad didn't fall for it and continued to fight his fight.

To put it short and sweet, I had a casual boxing fan come over for the fight. He thought the fight sucked ass, which it kinda did. It was the biggest challenge Wlad has had in quite a while. Wlad was way too tentative and could've done way more. Wlad has a beautiful left hook and that was the punch he needed to KO Haye. I'm still baffled. Why didn't he throw the left hook?:huh

Same here. Both men had explosive two-fisted power and both occasionally landed hard flush shots. My opinion of both men's chins have gone up dramatically. Haye in particular showed good whiskers and both men had awesome defences. Great technical boxing match where at any one time either fighter could be knocked the spark out. In the 12th round haye landed a peach of a shot that hurt Wlad and Wlad replied with a power right that forced Haye back.. exciting right to the end.

I thought the fight was exciting because of the possibility of either boxer getting KO'd during their brief but powerful exchanges. I was also impressed by Haye's head movement but wish that he unleashed a bit more.

If you slap a soundtrack onto it, it suddenly becomes a more entertaining fight:

The word you wanted is "badly."

-And I still strongly disagree with you.

Why on earth did he try and box on the outside for 12 rounds when it was clear it wasnt working?

He should have jabbed his way (did he throw a single jab?) and then thrown combo's. He should have been really aggressive.
