    Exactly, that makes more sense.

Jumping in with Vitali this soon smacks of Arrogance and stupidity and the thing is Haye will have no-one to blame when he gets made to look a fool.

you are complaining about it though your saying a guy who9 thinks he is ready to win the title should go and fight a few pretty average heavyweights instead of going for the big fights strgiht away, you are the kind of person that allows people to fight **** fighters and think its ok.

There is no reason for Haye to take anymore prep fights.

The extra time will not allow him to 'grow into' the weight - he is exactly where he needs to be to be most effective.

Another two fights won't teach him anything he doesn't already know or prepare him better for Vitali.

Haye is in boxing to take these kind of opportunities and risks. Now is the time the opportunity is there, so he grabs it. That's what he does.

He has got a big set of balls, and doing it this way, even if he gets a loss on his record, he will get a another shot at one of the other belts within 6 months (depending of course on Wlad's activity and willingness to fight).

How many chances did Rahman get at HW title, and he got beat time after time, after getting smashed to pieces by Lewis in the second fight? The same should ring true for Haye.

Rahman made his name by beating Lewis.

If Haye sparks vitali with a lucky punch then gets smashed in the rematch, at least that win is on his resume, but that won't happen

  6. sounds like a Calzaghe or Kessler fan

Maybe he is trying to capitalize on Vitali's long lay off. Wasn't he away from the ring for about 5 years before the Peter fight, and I don't think Peter will have given him an idea of what he is going to be up against. It may have even given him a false sense of the competition, and a false sense of supremacy. Peter struggled with Toney, and that is the only person he has fought in the last 5 years. Maybe he doesn't want Vitali getting in any more fights before they go at it.

I think he figures he is at his physical prime now - what is he 28, 29 or 30? He just thinks his physical prowess is about as good as it is ever going to get - so why not use them now rather than presenting a less powerful David Haye a few years down the line.

the reason why this caused vitaly n wlad to get angry is cos it must have reminded them of the chechyan rebels who regularly behead russion/ukranian civilians.

That image of David and Wlad's head is v'funny and has served it's purpose, which was to get the Klitchsko's backs up and make them take the fight.
All in all it's a good (if slightly gruesome for the people who can't take a joke) bit of publicity for what should be a very entertaining fight.
Does Haye have the same reach as Vitali if so that is a big bonus 'cos he can keep moving in for shots and back out without getting clipped full strength by Vitali.
I think the biggest problem for this fight is Vitali's a bit of a crock and could easily get injured before or during the fight and then David could captilise with his speed

  13. Im going to have alot more respect for Haye even if he gets blasted out by both Klit's than I would for say a Harrison, Guinn or a ****ing Greenberg, who have tried to pad their records with tripe before failing to move up the Heavyweight ranks. **** even Holyfield touched lucky in bumping straight into Buster Douglas for the undisputed title. If he'd have ran staight into a Prime Tyson (which is maybe the equivalent of the task at hand for David) would he still be classed as an ATG today?

It seems people can't win sometimes our side of the pond, you go straight for the big boys, you're stupid, you stay at home & wait for the big boys to eventually come to you, you're a ***.

Well, fighting contenders and proving himself at Heavyweight is something Haye doesn't want to do. I guess Haye has to hype the fight some way. Barrett was recently KO'd by Cliff Couser in 2 rounds. Haye beat this washed up never was (Barrett) and is getting a title shot, that is good promoting.

Who cares, Haye is going down big time. The more trash Haye talks the more of a jackass he is going to look like when he gets KO'd. Haye is not a threat, I can see that from the Fragomeni and Mormeck fights. Fragomeni and Mormeck would not be good HW's at all and they gave Haye a lot of trouble.
