I don't think anyone will cry much if Haye retired for good. He produced a number of terrible snooze-fests and now he won't. Good riddance.

He lost every round IMO to wlad, but in doing so he has lost no face IMO, he fought a ATG, caught him a few times, but wlad was quick to adjustment, made those shots, nothing more then a highlight, in hayes career, he might of lost those rounds, an the fight, But Haymakers skill should never be questioned, his talent could easy have won him a title ten years ago, but today, in the klitschko era, you need to catch a break like lewis, or looking past you like sanders, In the era of the DOCTORS, you might just have to except these Doctors are true ATG's

Well at least he kept his promise..........that he'd retire by his next birthday.

He's going to fight Vitali, he's just taking us all for mugs again, and creating the much needed publicity to sell the fight while he's at it.

It's just posturing to lure one of the K's into fighting him, that's all. It'll probably work, too. I haven't heard that Vitali's signed to face anyone else yet.

Its a sad day for boxing, Haye is a ATG and a guaranteed 1st Ballot HOF.

Vitali is a better fighter and a better businessman. If Haye thinks he is gaining leverage he simply isn't thinking.

He went from taking over the World to retirement pretty quick. Such is the nature of a division ruled by the Klitschko's.

This was his contingency plan and he folloew through so good for him. I never liked his mouth or antics but he wasan explosive fighter who aimed for greatness and certainly accomplished more in life than I ever will so I feel no need to disparage him.
