He took a pounding vs Haye though. I remember speaking to him at the Peacocks not long after the fight when i was training there. He said he was pissing blood for a few weeks after that fight. The fight meant nothing anyway. Haye's been flirting with heavy for some time. The only person he's beaten of any note was a way over the hill John Ruiz.
Haye will barely be remembered for his career at cruiser. Much less Heavyweight. His title runs have been too short and his opponents nothing to write home about. Additionally his career ledger is a paltry 26 fights. Thats nothing to write home about at all.
Does Haye still train at the peacocks when he is in London ? When was the last time you saw him ? Or is it impossible to get near him these days ? because he is so important he got all them bodyguards keeping people from getting near him.
Sorry - I realise you were refering to Delaney. Is he still inside prison for the manslaughter of a clubber ?
Iv never seen Haye at the Peacocks. Haye is from South London so i wouldn't expect to see him there training unless it was some PR stunt. And the last time i saw Haye was at last years SENI in May. He was milling around in the crowd. But i couldn't even be asked to wander over to him as a fan and have a chat. Iv had enough of him.
I remeber Enzo broke of one Delaneys ribs in that fight. I remeber the fight well - cos I was there in Cardiff - after the fight Delaney came over near by me in the crowd with his missus just standing among the regulars and watched the rest of the card.
Haye is always in the Clubs - after the Vaulev fight - he got a heros reception back home - and everyone was calling him KING DAVID in the media. He said he never had to pay for one drink or taxi ride after that. From that point on he realised he never want to lose the Celeb status - so suddenly didnt fancy the Klitschko fights.
