ignore the delusional haye supporters. no matter who they match him up with, its haye ko1....Wlad, Ali, etc > Haye ko1...they are completely off their rocker. they see no flaws just speed and power

i'll give haye major props if he fights oleg. he is old but dangerous more so than barrett. major test for haye. oleg is smart and will try to counter haye with that right hand. he landed some monster shots on peter but sam has an iron chin.

Alright about his choice for an opponent but Wladimir didn't "pick on" Chris Byrd, Byrd had the belt & Wlad wanted it.

I would rather see Haye fight Barrett who is coming off a win rather than a loss like Oleg is.

If Oleg somehow finds a way to KO Haye I will laugh my friggin' ass off. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a loud mouth moron put in his place. Sadly I don't think the current version of Oleg has much of a chnce due to his own chin & lack of speed. They haven't improved with age.

Monte Barrett - who recently was KOed by Cliff Couser, lost to the Rahman that Maskaev KOed later
Jameel McCline - just lost to Ruiz and lost to Zuri Lawrence in 2005
Andrew Golota - has been pretty inactive
Shannon Briggs - is washed up, with limited stamina and hasn´t fought in a long time
Sultan Ibragimov - would be a very good fight but probably too high risk

So aside from Sultan these fighters are about the same or even worse than Maskaev.

well ring magazine and fightnews both rank Oleg as 7th best HW in the world so shows what you know.Barrett who?? let me guess an American who is hyped but in reality is barely in the top 20 HW fighters, lol.

    Agree.

Maskaev is at least a bonafide top ten opponent, and is still somewhat credible.

If Haye fights Oleg, he will have held to his word to fight a top ten opponent for his upcoming HW debut.

Not a bad choice for Haye............ Not bad at all.

    Maskaev / Haye...........Bring it ON!

With the amount of prospective money being generated for a fight with Haye, most of those match ups could be dropped, easily.

    Maskaev is shot.
He's a huge overachiever who had a bit of luck & timing on his side.
I would love to see him shut Haye's big mouth but I dont think he has enough left.

Hayes actually wants to fight Christy Martin.

This is a more interesting HW fight than Klitschko-Thompson, Povetkin-Sykes, or Rahman-Toney. :nod
