Let's pretend everything leads to this fight some time in 2009... How would David Haye need to fight in order to beat Wladimir ? What do you think should be David's strategy to use, considering each man's strengths and weaknesses ?
Footwork, speed, head movement and right hand bombs. Basically watch a shitload of Mike Tyson in his prime and copy that.
Wlad's a walking KO for Haye.....with his speed and skills he can get in distance to land a bomb on Wlads chin, he isn't a Peter or those other clowns, who just waltz right into Wlads jab, or better yet, just stay they're and eat jabs and hooks all night..... i honestly don't see the fight going past 4rounds Haye will win....and it will end in a KO
I wild swing that happens to unexpectedly land is his only chance. He cannot outbox WK because WK is superior in many areas of boxing. Haye's power or chin have not been tested at HW, so a lot of all this is just guessing. In any event, IMO WK is far too good for Haye. Anyone at HW can get KO'd with 1 punch. That is hardly a game plan though. I also think Haye's conditioning will not allow him to have any busy fights for more than a couple rounds. Its proven time and time again that when a fighter is all cut up and muscular like that they do not have the best cardio because it is almost impossible to send oxygen thru all that muscle. Remember when WK gassed out against Purity? Well it was said that going into that fight and other fightts that Wlad spent more time lifting weights that sparring. If you look back to his old fights, he was much more muscular in years past. Manny said that was one of the thinsg that he immediately changed in his training. More cardio and sparrning and far less weight lifting. I think in a lot of these "what if" threads, people do not consider that Haye's stamina could be his achilles heel in a WK fight or any other. This is not to mention the sledgehammer jab that WK throws....Haye has never seen anything like that either.
Wlad is mentally flawed look at the Peter fight for example, he had a fat, slow plodding guy with zero boxing ability that he should have easily KTFO and it turned out competitive, Vitaly who is not as fast, skilled, young, gifted etc etc, takes 4 yrs off and easily beats Peter, If Brewster, Sanders, and Purrity FFS can get him, than Haye can too.
Haye needs to bring a gun. Or at least an axe. May not make a difference though. People dawg Wlad's chin...Haye's is worse. He will get split in half by Wlad.
Haye needs to blast him out early and Wlad should try to clinch for his life and hope that he will survive.
