you really think haye will fight peter and wlad like the way he fought that guy?

he was tring to get the guy to hit him so he could counter with big rights to end the fight quick.

why couldn't mormeck or maccarinelli beat him? both are better than fragomeni.

I understand what you are saying, but I still don't think he will be as elusive as you imagine. To be fair he seemed a lot stronger when he fought Bonin but my opinion is that the likes of Wlad and Peter will be too big for him to handle.

It worked. And if he hadn't have found those big punches when he did he was looking at his 2nd loss.

The guy was awkward and tough as old boots, it was a great fight and a war and Haye won...

what's the problem? blokes ****ing 27 and he's unified the cruiserweight division!

Before Mormeck and Maccarinelli I had Haye down as a loud mouth fraud. Being from Swansea myself I wanted Macca to smash him up, but to be fair to Haye he looked the business that night. If he performs at heavy like he did against Fragomeni he's going nowhere, it all depends how much making weight was weakening him, if he's much stronger at heavy he could have success.

You guys have to realize that 1) Haye isn't Roy Jones nor is he as talented as a prime Roy Jones. 2) Even a Roy Jones in his prime would not be able to handle a heavyweight such as Wladimir Klitschko or Lennox Lewis. He won the championship by beating a heavyweight who really posed no threat, in regards to size and strength, and a heavyweight who won all his bouts by points. We're talking about Haye taking on heavyweights who pose more than threat, they knock out guys on a regular basis.

I certainly could not see any way possible how he would beat Wladimir. Style for style, Wladimir uses distance well, is the bigger and stronger man.

For those who think Haye would not be touched by Peter. Remember that Peter adjusted accordingly in the second James Tony fight. He did some running, worked on punch accuracy, worked on his boxing. This is not to mention the strength advantage Peter would hold over him. This would truly be a nightmare for Haye, no pun intended.

Haye is better now than in the Fragomeni fight. Easily. He seems stronger, faster on his feet and his body movement is better.

Of course he is. He is also slower. My point being that he isn't as gifted or has the skills to go up in weight and take on the bigger guys, let alone the best of the HW division.

Almost all fighters will have videos that make them look bad. If Haye fought the Peter that turned up againt Oleg then it would be easy, I've seen zombies with better footwork.

Very good point, but we don't whether or not Haye is conditioned to go the distance either.

I know he's never made it to the 10th round and that all but one of his fights have ended in a KO.

It's possible that he may become frustrated when he finds that his shots don't have the same effect on Peter that they had against cruiser weights.

    He may gas himself out.

I don't think Haye's ready for Peter yet. It would be a stupid move on Haye's part to take this fight right now if he could get it.

He needs to show that he can go the distance if necessary or atleast get some rounds in with some lesser heavyweights.

Exactly! How can't Peter hit Haye when he was able to land some big ones on Toney?

Haye is a good fighter but beating an average Cruiser doesn't equal beating a good HW.
