I remember it was touch and go the weeks leading up to the fight, so glad they got it in the end. Buncey working his magic again.

Remember Enzo was in the Setanta studio and he called Haye out during his interview after the fight. Bet he wishes he could go back to that moment now eh

Joe at ringside for the Enzo fight. He looked at Enzo totally disgusted and then just walked off.

 Yeah i remember that and him saying what he would do and wouldn't of done in the fight and then really giving the impression Haye was running scared after Haye and the imfamous ''i'm weight drained i'm off to heavyweight'' interview which fooled both Enzo and Mr Warren.

It was funny as. Enzo was in the studio ready to call out Haye, then Haye said that the Mormeck fight was his last as cruiser and he couldn't make the weight anymore. Enzo was gutted :yep

O yeah - no doubt about that

Joe Calzaghe is a winner - and he believed in Enzo - as alot of people did - only to be let down.

Enzo was representing Camp Calzaghe and Calzaghes father as the trainer

But Joe knew - what alot of people thought - Maccarenelli bottled it on the night

I think the punches from Haye were coming too fast and too powerful

And at the end - Macca must of felt a little outgunned as he made a feeble gesture to the ref when he asked him to raise his hands

It was almost as if - deep down he wanted it to be over as he was outgunned - if it had continued he would have had to suffer from more powerful right hands that were starting to find the target.

If you look at the end of the fight - when the ref waves it off - Maccarenelli looks over the ropes to the direction of Calzaghe and his girlfriend as if to say:

"Joe - whats the stupid ref doing - he has stopped the fight"

As if to save some sort of pride.

But Joe had already left his seat in disgust. A nightmare night. :!:

The whole issue in the build up to the fight was that Haye was struggling massively with the weight. There were rumours that his camp hadn't gone well, he was between Cyprus and Miami, not looking good in sparring, then when he failed to show for the final press conference Enzo must have thought he had it in the bag.

The look on Enzo's face at the weigh in when Haye came in 2 pounds under the limit, looking ripped to shreds and 100% business was priceless.

I wouldn't be surprised if all of the above was planned by the astute minds of the Hayemaker and Adam Booth.

    :-(

    I disagree.

Yes - I think Maccaenelli had a big reality check on the night and was shitting bricks when he sprinted to the ring.

But that is a seprate issue.

At the weigh in - there was nothing to suggest - Enzo was shitting it.

He handled the weigh in ok - and was actually laughing and joking with Joe Calzaghe.

And stared Haye straight in the eyes no problem.

He only started getting stressed and worried - probaly about the time he was leaving his hotel to arrive at the O2 arena.
