At this point Pala and Hammer are far better than a shot to hell Briggs, I'd rather him go against Hammer because at this point it means a lot more a win over Shannon Briggs who isn't even top 100, never mind top 20 like Hammer is.
That'd be a good fight for him - he's being managed properly now, I feel. Looking back it's absolutely shocking how badly Price was being matched.
Good point Briggs is shot I just figured he has lot of experience at world class level maybe it could help but probably not. He does need to go against someone who does gas out early like a Hammer this way if he doesn't get a KO early he isn't in too much trouble late. Not till he gets some rounds under his belt
Hammer also has a relatively high ranking by most organizations, and isn't really that good... I think Price would have an easier time with him than he did with Pala tonight.
Then that is absolutely the fight he should seek. I have not seen hammer in action I will try and watch some of his fights this week.
I disagree. Briggs is still in great shape (don't be afraid ladies), holds an iron chin and is very powerful. I rate him higher than Pala and Hammer. The fight with Price wouldn't make any sense, because Briggs is unranked and far too dangerous. Hammer would be a good opponent for Price. He is not a heavy puncher, gasses out early and his chin is questionnable, plus he is ranked high.
But is Price ready to be ranked so high. Might be best to take it slow with him for awhile, let him get three fights under his belt.
Christian Hammer, a Romanian/German heavyweight ranked high. He has beaten Leif Larsen, Kevin Johnson and last night Konstantin Airich. Ranked way too high. Maybe Price has to take 2 or 3 more "easy" fights and focus on 2015 to step up in class.
Browne's the fight he is ducking. :deal Should be fighting him for the Commonwealth title where IMO Price would be brutally KO'd and shown as national level at best. Seems his camp want nothing to do with Browne yet Browne is keen to fight Price even in his backyard.
It's always been known that Price has no chin, if you look at his amatuer career it's been obvious for a long long time He needs to model himself on Wlad if he's gonna have any career at all in the pros
Proper use of the jab is going to be pivotal for Price to move on to better things, flash knockdown had far more to do with weight transferral and feet position than chin.
