Price needs to rebuild, the we will see what he can do. Putting him in with Thompson was stupid.............

Wilder has never fought anyone ranked in the top 60, he fights bums, yet he is ranked #3 by WBC. Price should have done that. Wilder refused to fight Thompson, if not, he would have been knocked out............

Makes me laugh people after Thompson 2 they said he needs alot of work and needs to improve vastly mentally and in the ring. Now hes taking the steps to do that and hes a ducker haha. Hes not scared of Derek obviously Adam Booth made this decision and he wants some time and a few fights to try some things out and improve Pricey. People are idiots

Completely understand the decision, its the right move at this point in time.

But there does seem to be some double standards when it comes to ducking.

It is a blatant duck, no doubts about it, but also a good decision to duck as he isn't ready.

I'm sure most that are saying it's a duck like myself, will agree that he has to duck Chisora if he is going to improve.

Some of you are ****ing clueless.

After 2 back to back losses, moving promoter, trainer and possibly country you think a fight against Chisora was the way to go??

He needs to rebuild. That means starting almost from fresh, which he is doing with an 8 rounder in a couple of weeks. Sauerland know what they are doing.

Guttering for the big man but after way he's been managed and displayed in last two outings this makes sense. Don't think price ducked chisora .. Not asif he has been calling him out past few years. Fury is different he disrespected pricey and then vacated don't see price disrespecting Chisora at all. Chisora deserves his shot rightly so after rebuilding his own career over the past 12 months. If Chisora had the chance to fight for the British title before price fought Thompson would people be saying Price loses????

This. A couple of low key fights in Germany against lowly ranked if durable opponents is exactly what Price needs.

As for Chisora, he should win the British belt and then move onto Wilder in an ideal world. Browne/Chisora is a fun fight if Dereck wants the Commonwealth belt too.

Chisora is IMO in a position to challenge for a world title. This is in large part due to his win over Scott, backed up by his defences of his European title.A year ago,if they'd done one of those polls of boxers and trainers for a Price/Chisora fight,I think it would have been 80 percent in Daves favour.Being rushed into the Thompson fight is the reason it would be 95 percent the other way now.i think one of the reasons for that is they were aware of his age and wanted to get a move on.One thing would have solved this:ACTIVITY.And I hope the Sauerlands will provide this.6 fights at least in 2014,hopefully.

Didn't know he refused Thompson, but I doubt he's afraid of him,or anybody else for that matter. He boxes often,is only about 27.Needs to step it up a bit, yes. But one or two wins at a higher level and hell have earned a shot, whatever he does with it.To me thats being handled well, unlike Dave has up to now.
