First of all i want to say to my fellow Brit please back Price you know you love him. Ok right so he fights Kuzmin for the WBA Inter-Continental Heavyweight title this weekend. If he wins surly he gets a crack at Charr's WBA belt ? We need to stop mocking him and start supporting him.
Due to the vast sums now being made in the heavyweight division Charr's christmas cracker belt actually has some value now so Price may find himself behind some others with bigger purses. I fear at his age and with his record he may struggle to get someone to back him sufficiently to land those fights, yes even Charr. And don't call me Shirley. This content is protected
Charr doesn't have a world title. Price has SOME chance of the upset here; I've not been overly impressed by Kuzmin as a pro yet. But let's also remember that Price is not very good.
Nothing gets me more hyped up in boxing than a David Price fight or a Chris English Eubank interview. I still often watch the Hammer fight just to see big Pricey leaning over the ropes like a giraffe drinking from a watering hole with Penfold gazing up at him. Comedy gold. I'll be cheering on big Pricey, and as usual, I'll be behind the couch watching it through my fingers.
I would like to see Price do well, but you have to be realistic about his limitations. I will support him and enjoy watching his fights, but it's only a matter of time (until Saturday night) before he's brutally knocked out again.
It's a bit like Amir Khan in the sense that you can see him beating anyone providing he keeps a water-tight defence and doesn't start trading. However, that is as likely as candy-floss clouds and Ribena rain. *Sigh*.....War Pricey!
Usually accompanied with fitting commentary. "He's bending over, what is he doing?!" "He looks absolutely knackered, doesn't he?" "Look at David Price!" "Price is in trouble!" "Oh my word...oh dear."
I suppose it depends what realms of greatness we're discussing. He's great in terms of entertainment, I'll give him that.
Whether or not you believe Charr's belt is a legit "world title", something like that would be Price's only reasonable chance. But how many second rate boxers are waiting in line to get into the weak link sweepstakes, and who will eventually get the chance after Charr outpointed Fres' ghost? And if (big IF) Price beats Kuzmin, and he probably would have to do that by knocking him out, how much chance is there that Charr gives him the shot while he has so many options?
Hahahah, I know them all off by heart. The Tony Thompson 2 was a classic as u mention in a couple of quotes. And of course when Ron Mcintosh says, "and look at David Price, struggling to stay upright".
why support a guy that just wont take advice?? the man should not be Fighting, his chin is completly gone and he can get seriously hurt. but he just wont listen. taking on kuzmin just Shows you that he is completely delusional.
