Excited to see how Surov transitions into the pro game, it can be a real hit-and-miss with the top Eastern European amateurs, and we've seen some brilliant amateurs not quite cut it in the pros. Jalolov is probably going to be one judging by his last 2 fights.

This one was right below your other thread asking how long would it take for a better HW than Usyk to appear. A cryptic code?

Seriously though, Surov has all the talent to go far in the pros. With Povetkin, Kovalev gone, Beterbiev one foot out of the door, there’s a big gap open for a top Russian boxer.

Hopefully he doesn't get shut out. As often happens with top eastern euros. His first mistake is worrying about Jalalov who is a virtual non-entity in professional boxing.

Gadzhimagomedov also has a lot of upside (especially for cruiserweight) but It doesn't look like he has much enthusiasm for success in the pro ranks.

Hasn't fought in over a year. I gave up on him.

He competed in the amateurs in 2025, won the gold in IBA championships I think. I don't know what the point is, It's not like he'll be allowed to compete in the olympics.
