As i've said multiple times we don't truly know how good Joyce's chin actually is because he's never fought a genuine puncher. People are assuming Joyce can take a clean left hook of Tua, who is one of the hardest hitting Heavyweights of all time ? that's a quite big leap to eating Parker's punches and walking through Tua's punches.

The fighters who beat Tua was a lunatic like Ibeabuchi who broke compubox record for most punches thrown in Heavyweight fight, and still many people believe Tua could of got the decision. Lewis beat an out of shape Tua boxing a very cautious fight behind his jab, and Byrd is an ultra slick southpaw.

Joyce has no defence and i'm not sure he could repeat what those 3 fighters done above. Overall i still want more evidence of Joyce's apparent unbreakable chin, if he takes flush punches off Zhang or Wilder then i'll be impressed.

Tua is not Mike Tyson or Frazier hed give up the headmovement most of the time. He had slow feet but pretty fast hands. His reach is small for a heavyweight. But Sure he could hit Joyce, but its not a given hed land that left hook over and over. Joyce is mightly strong.

Triangle theory does not work. However, Joyce has shown a damn near iron chin so far, he's a good jabber, and he's busy. These are all things that are Tua's kryptonite. Joyce by extremely lopsided UD.

With his hands, he's slower, but not with his feet. Nowhere near. He has excellent footspeed and athleticism

Joyce not fast enough to keep Tua off him. Tua beats him on points. Joyce’s face is marked up.

Wake me up when Joyce actually defeats some top contenders other than just Parker, then we can talk.

It's funny how Joyce gets so much praise for his chin, when it's yet to be tested at the elite level.
Whereas, Tua went from 1992-2010 before his chin was cracked against Monte Barret when he had no business being in the ring. His financial struggles were very well documented. If he'd not come back for money, his chin would have remained undefeated, so to speak.

"Before this bout, Tua revealed to the press that he was broke and homeless, and living with his wife and two children in rental accommodations."

It's also worth mentioning, he rallied back to break Barret's jaw moments later.

Tua being dropped by Savon via headclash (similar to Parker/Whyte)

Lol. You must be a Brit. Lennox Lewis is close in height to JJ and even he didn't demolish Tua. You can't seriously think JJ has a better offensive arsenal than Lennox Lewis?

That said I have JJ winning a clear points decision. He's all wrong for Tua in terms of durability and the ability to rack up the rounds.

No way. How does someone blow that much money to be borderline homeless, especially when you have kids. Thats crazy.

But good post about his chin, and Joyces not really being that proven, imo.

Agreed. I think I lean to Joyce but it wouldn't surprise me to see him caught and finished by a peak Tua.

Tua was kayoed by a short right hand from Savon, not a head-clash.

The fight was at the 1991 World Amateur Championships in Sydney. Savon was awesome in that tournament & would go on & win three straight Olympic gold medals.

Joyce would be there to eat that Tua left hook. Wayyyy too stationary to last 12 rounds with Tua imo. But it would be a back and forth fun fight. Very competitive until it’s stopped on cuts or Joyce finally hits the deck. Not sure if anyone in history could eat too many David lefts.

But… I wouldn’t bet too much on that either :D Would be a fun fight
