... blah, blah, blah... you and your Klit's are chicken **** scared of Tua. If they could beat him, they should fight him-- he is a draw, if money is all about boxing anyways! :huh
Barretts already been knocked the **** out by a Klitschko, heaps of clowns have had title fights after losses. STFU anyway, i am 100% sure Tua vs Klitschko makes more ppv buys then Barrett vs Klitschko. It looks better on their record in 50 years time too!!!
... you know, I agree with you on this one? People think I'm a Tua fan or a Tuatard, but I'm not. My thing is much worse guys got shots for doing far less.. Tua is a continued contender! :bbb
Tua not receiving another title shot has much to do with his dedication and management issues. It's not like he will be remembered a lesser fighter than Maskaev or Rahman because he did not hold a title. In fact he might be remembered more favourably as an "uncrowned" paper title holder. We know there was not a chance that he could have ever beaten Lewis or the Klitschko brothers who were the true elite of the division.
I'm a ****ing Light Heavyweight, son. Of course, I would be chicken**** to fight Tua. But he would be a ***** to fight a bean pole two weight classes down like me. Haye and Solis wiped the floor with Barrett, the guy who technically beat your boy twiced and put him on his ass. I really don't think the K-brothers are scared of him. As said, Vitali would fight him if he could at least past the Barrett test. Jesus, think about that. YOu are championing a man who can't get past Barrett. He's boring as hell these days anyway, slow, and he doesn't have the stupid hair. what is your investmen in this hasbeen?
Briggs is less deserving but only because he was willing to get sent to the hospital for chump change. If you want that for Tua, all the more power to you.
What about Barrett? He gets robbed against Tua, beats him again, yet you are Championing Tua as some sort of victim. You and the thread starter, don't want what's right, quit pretending, you just want to see your boy get sent to the hospital by a K-Brother for chump change because he can't earn a mandatory shot. Some fan. TUATARD!
If you call 500k plus or potentially millions of dollars chump change then you must be a Rockefeller or Bill Gates. Tua has a punchers chance against anyone, it just takes one big left hook and its all on. Barrett in reality doesn't have a punchers chance against a K-brother.
... i say put him in there and then call it quits. He deserves it to a great extent! I would much rather see him fight a Klit than Holyfield or Ruiz or even Haye again!
Tua is another wasted talent. Ronnie Shields who trained Tua in the early stages of his career has been on record stating how lazy Tua was. He was a talented kid, and when he was active and in the gym he was a force. He beat all those guys that got multiple shots at the title. He fought all the best young contenders when they were coming up. Izon, Wilson, Nicholson, Ruiz, Maskaev, Wooden, Ibeabuchi, Rahman. I cant think of another contender who fought so many good solid fighters on his way up, but he burned out. Duva's had a doubled edged sword with David. They had to keep him busy to keep him in shape, but he should have fought for the title a lot sooner. The breakup of Main Events was the nail in the coffin for Tua, because Duva Boxing couldnt afford to retain him so Dan Goosen bought his contract and sat on his #1 ranking with a steady diet of BS fights until he got his mandatory shot at Lewis where he showed up looking like a beached whale. Noone wants to mess with Tua, because hes always been with a powerless promoter and hes too dangerous, so it makes it really easy to avoid him. The lost to Barrett should be it for Tua, he should call it a career. The most exciting fight that was signed in his career was against Oliver Mcall for the WBC mandatory, but Mcall pulled out because King wouldnt pay him. All of sudden Tua was no longer in a mandatory fight but Mcall stayed in the mix because hes a King lifer.
When it comes to reputations, knockouts outweigh consistency. That's why Julian Jackson and David Tua are more highly regarded than Steve Collins and Chris Byrd.
I've got this fight on the David Tua Fight Collection. http://boxingjunkies.com/datuacaboco2.html I saw how frustrated his corner was because Tua kept getting hit by the same punch over and over. This reminds me of his rematch with Barrett because Tua was happy to take a beating for the long haul, but suddenly came to life during the closing rounds.
... if he is not going to get a shot EVER to fight for a title he should get out. It makes no sense... the money is where the Klit's are. And that's that. If he wants big money and he wants a shot at the title, he should suck it up and swallow his pride and then go talk to King or Arum and tell them to get him the shot before he ends it all!
King and Arum cant get him a shot, because they dont control the heavyweight titles. Hes not a fight either Klit needs, and Tua hasnt performed well enough in some time to warrant the fights being made, so again he will be stuck in no man's land. He should just get out but he probably needs the money. Apparently he didnt manage his money very well and a lot of it was taken from him by Barry.
