I like rocky but he is giving up 35 pounds. This is like bob foster vs joe Frazier. Physics are physics.
he did strong man and was A WRESTLER TOO. when he was young he worked in a circus and the finality of his show was challenging anyone (pro fighters or not)to beat him in a fight. Joe louis did beat him because Louis had a punch like a shotgun, it had nothing to do with strength. anyway you did reply the most irrelevant part of my post. please.... Carnera was WAY stronger physically than Lewis because he was naturally much bigger, carnera was a giant, he was not a guy with manufactured weight
You answered the question to the first paragraph in the second paragraph. Adding weight to a fighter, I'm ok with that, changing a fighters style I'm not. We know what Carnera is capable of because we saw him and therefore any retired fighter I can match him against confidently. Still active fighters have a dynamic ranking that changes.
rocky was 220 lbs but trimmed down to 185, tua was soft and fat at 230, see how does that work you biased foreman fan?
I see it like Ruddock or Golota. An absolute anhilation. For his size Lewis was ridiculously quick footed, he'd smash Carnera ten ways from Sunday before the Ambling Alp could get his own punches set.
these 2 topics ard different 100%. Marciano had a smaller frame than Tua but Foreman was naturally heavier than bowe, in fact Foreman weighed 226 at 19 and Bowe 216 at 21. you could add 50 pounds to bowe if you want, but it will be manufactured weight .They both were very close in size, bowe was 6'41/2 and foreman 6'3 1/2 , Bowe was soft and Foreman stronger ,wider shoulders and more solid
Lummox had a pretty nuts workout regimen. I remember reading that he did 220 lbs. x 25reps on the bench amidst a circuit workout with a lot of other lifts. Someone else on this or another forum witnessed him doing 300lbs ten times. That qualifies as damn strong.
and where is the proof about carnera could not do it ? i did not say that he was not strong because he was, i am saying that carnera was stronger... it is very simple... his bones are much wider, his musculature is bigger, he is heavier and his size is natural....Carnera was stronger... period
bowe probably matured a bit later, as he showed he was in a great condition at 235-240 lbs throwing punches all night long, something foreman could never do, even at 220... also bowe's shoulder are very wide, wider than foreman's, foreman being more solid though. foreman may have carried 235-240 but his stamina would suffer even more, so not a good idea for his boxing career. bowe was listed 6'5, foreman 6'3 1/2... bowe had 3 inches reach advantage. foreman may be stronger if they were both powerlifters, but being boxers bowe carried more weight effectively, thus having the advantage in size.
i do agree with this... carnera was a freak of nature, maybe the strongest boxer ever... and significantly bigger than bowe, lewis, foreman etc...
Again the same... the stamina has nothing to do with their sizes. Bowe had better stamina independently of their sizes,i think that frazier even at 224 pounds had better stamina than Foreman. EVERYBODY knows that bowe was not a full 6'5, Foreman have been listed at 6'4 too but i say that he was 6'3 1/2 and bowe 6'4 1/2. Foreman had wider shoulders than bowe http://static4.imagecollect.com/preview/560/f7b02833c43806e http://media.gettyimages.com/photos/boxers-george-foreman-and-riddick-bowe-attend-second-annual-jim-pro-picture-id155508532?s=594x594
Louis picked Carnera up at one point ,he said he had no difficulty moving him around and Carnera was surprised and said," I should be doing this to you".It has nothing to do with Louis' power of punch. I repeat Carnera was not a wrestler before he became a fighter,do some research for f*cks sake! This is how it works you make a statement. I challenge you to prove it, and so far you haven't!

I repeat Carnera was not a wrestler before he became a fighter, Bones being wider, musculature etc is not an indication of greater strength. It isn't up to me to prove my point I haven't said Lewis is stronger than Carnera, I've just challenged your confident assertion that Carnera was way stronger than Lewis! Since you are the one making these unfounded claims, the onus is on you to prove them ,not on me to disprove them! Do some research for f*cks sake! This is how it works you make a statement.
