David Tua just has to stay focus, and have faith in God. Tua will have his chances for the heavyweight title, he just has to stay on track, and make the most of them.
Whitaker stopped Friday with a thumb to the eye in the 5th. Ibrag stopped him in the 9th by a controversially early stoppage by head butt. Tua will stop him uncontroversially in the 11th with a left hook, right overhand barrage.
I like Tua's chances with Wlad, but I'm pretty sure Wlad would avoid that left hook like the plague. Tua's only chances would be the first rounds. As the fight moves along, Tua's chances to beat Wlad would diminish. I always thought Tua was a great offensive fighter, but no one ever taught him to bob and weave against the jab and that's what made the difference between him and Tyson. I think he should also work more on breaking an opponent down as he'll score more points that way instead of just looking for that one punch ko. But then he wouldn't be as fun to watch
Tua is always nice to watch, if he beats Friday he should land a big lucrative fight afterwards and will earn his WBO ranking, at least. I wonder if he did manage to get out of the Maori TV deal. I think Tua can make some serious money still in his career but he will only have a chance at a belt if he lands a fight with Haye before the Klitschkos. Peter, Toney, Arreola, Briggs, Ruiz, Meehan, Haye, are names he should consider in case he wins. Valuev, Chambers, KJ, Boytsov, Solis, Adamek, Thompson, are righ risk low reward options.
i love tuaman.. but the lits would be too much for him! Height is the enemy of Tua.. I would love to see Tua face Arelola, Peter, Adamek, Haye & Tyson Fury = ) .
