Hey no question, I would've LOVED to have seen more big stuff from Dawson. **** I'm a big Dawson fan and I tuned out at about round 9, the fight was pretty much academic. I just understand why he went for the cautious approach this time. Take the W and go home. If he does it AGAIN against a Pascal type opponent? I'll be more than ready to ***** about it.
Roy Jones was a better show than Dawson. Roy got boring fight wise...but he was always doing SOMETHING to make sure the spotlight stayed on him. Dawson doesn't have that quality about him.
Pascal will make him fight. Pascal is one of the few guys with handspeed to fight with Dawson, he won't be able to swim without getting wet all night. He'll have to take a few risks. Same situation with Cloud, Cloud is like a bull he'll step to Dawson all night and force his hand. Again, Hopkins is another slick old vet that really limits your ambition before you even get in the ring. You know what you have to do to beat these guys, no real point in trying to KO them or really put hurt on them because it ain't happening. Dawson is unlucky with how the matchmaking has fallen with these older guys, rematch clauses, somewhat contraversial fight he had to rematch. Now its time to fight the Pascal's and Cloud's.
your one of those blood lust fans that can't appreciate the Sweet science and the Skill involed in puting on a master Class. I love the MAyorga's,Uragno's,Barrios, Berrio's, and Gatti's of the fight game but some times you need to see pure skill on display like dawson, Clazaghe, Kessler,PBF,Hopkins,Mallinagi fighters like that. if you can't appreciate all aspect of the game why don't you just make a street fighting Organization or restart the toughman competitions:verysad
As close as the first fight with Johnson was, I seriously don't think a rematch was unnecessary. And how could the first fight be considered boring? I thought the first fight was terrific. The second one-atrocious to watch. Absolutely atrocious.
The Tarver fight was an automatic rematch so I don't think you can hold him responsible for that. He HAD to fight Johnson again seeing as how the first fight was ridiculously close. Let's not get on him for things he can't control. It's like when people tried to make it sound like he was running from Diaconu.

its moron comments like that which dont build anything to this forum. If someone has an opinion about a fighter being boring, it doesnt mean their boxing illiterate, it means they enjoy action. I personally cant watch mma because I find its not as clean as boxing, plus I love boxing as a sport in general. If someone enjoys the way dawson fights, GOOD FOR THEM (you). But I personally found his style boring as hell tonight. My opinion, jackass, and I'm not the only one. So keep hyping boring style, your opinion, not mine.
Yeah he did. Chad just needs to get off the senior circuit. We all see he has a great set of skills, it's time to start using them again against guys who aren't ancient.
Hopkins, and Jones, are two of my favorite fighters...I did enjoy gatti, loved morales, but just because I find one fighter boring, doesnt mean im a blood lust fan. Seriously, its as if some boxing fans get their backs against the wall for their boys and try slandering every person who knocks their style. Who cares, I stated the obvious, he was boring as hell tonight, and he wont gain any american appeal by fighting like that :deal
He did better tonight. He's finished off a couple of the older fighters now. Johnson and Tarver are not easy to look good against, and you can't expect a KO against them. Dawson keeps improving. A Pascal/Dawson fight would be good to watch.
