We'll see on May 26th if you are right or wrong. It's in less than 4 weeks.

Anyone who know boxing knows that it's not because a fighter has one good round that he'll win all the other rounds. There are many examples in the history of boxing to show that. Beside, the fight was in the 11th round, the tornado had already passed and Pascal would have finished the round. Dawson is not exactly a KO artist. Since Pascal had a 3 points lead on 2 judges, Dawson needed 2 KO's in the 12th to win.

Pascal won that fight and Dawson lost it. Worse, he looked horrible doing so. I can understand he was not in a good day (let's say in a good year, he had lots of problems) but don't try to say he would have won. The cut was very bad and 3 out of 4 times the fight would have been stopped.

Of course not. I would be mad but nobody could say it wouldn't be a great fight. I maintain Bute-Ward winner facing Dawson-Pascal winner would make a huge fight but if Ward wants to go for Dawson first, what can I do? :-((

first he should rematch and win vs pascal and take care of some other good opponents like shuma or campilo and let ward establish himself as the best sm by beating bute & direll.

the fight would be much bigger when

    the undisputed lh king

    fight the undisputed sm king

If Buté wins in a more impressive way over Froch. the table will be get for a megafight. I hope that Ward will be a little patient ( a little more than 3 weeks) to make his decision. Ward has the occasion to prove that he is the absolute boss at 168 if he fights Buté and if Buté too is coming from a big win.
If he prefer going for Dawson and if he steps up division, bigs doubts will continue.

Ward vs Buté ( with a big win over Froch) is bigger than Dawson vs Ward

If Ward doesn't sign to fight somebody before May 27th, the pressure to fight Bute will be huge. And that's Showtime's plan for Bute's last fight with them... Ward can fight Dawson on HBO afterwards.

Jean Bédard was quoted today saying Bute-Ward would happen late 2012, and that.. it would actually happen.

Wow how times have changed. People were telling Ward to step up and challenge Dawson and now they say Dawson was drained. Bull****.

    Ward is a special fighter.

Ward is a special fighter, but that don't mean that Dawson wasn't drained or unfocused or something... outboxed by Lonnie Thompson and stretched out by Miranda? Something wasn't right and some people in the know called it before the fight.
